Class 2026, Tight End, Cullen Clark, Ruston High School.
I remember watching Ruston High School play football a few years back and noticed a kid at that time named John David Moore who was a late bloomer that enrolled at LSU as a Student Walk-On football player with over a 4.0 GPA and in 2 years became a starter (3 years)and one of the best in the SEC Conference as a Tight End and Academically.
Class 2026 Tight End of Ruston High School, Cullen Clark, reminds me of Moore because this is his 1st year to show what he can as a full-time starter, being bigger and stronger. Clark looks like a Div I player from out of the gate in 2025. I saw the week one game against Acadiana High School, which was played at Acadiana, a great program. Cullen Clark, in this game, caught a touchdown pass, showed good hands, good speed, good routes, and showed he can become a really good blocker at currently 6-3, 220 pounds. I think this kid will become a starter in college, and I hope someone at the IAA or DI level will give him that chance because once this kid gets to a fall camp, he will impress the coaches and only get bigger over time, like John David Moore did at LSU, also a former Ruston High School player.
Cullen Clark has been a part of 2 State Championship games, one in the 2023 State Champs and one in the 2024 State Runner-ups. Clark is a great student in the classroom with a GPA of 4.0 and an ACT score of 25. His dad, back in the day, signed a scholarship with Louisiana Tech in Ruston for Baseball. He currently has one offer from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.

Quotes from Cullen Clark
“We live in a very tight-knit community. Everybody comes together on Friday nights to support us. It’s our job as players to uphold the standard that the players set before us.
My position coach is Earl Griffin, whom we call Coach Chub. He’s also the Offensive Coordinator. He has been very helpful the past couple of years. We have a lot of fun in the Tight End room, too.
My Hobbies outside of football are eating lunch with my Grandfather and spending time with friends.
We’re 6-2 overall, our record at Ruston High School as of now, fighting for a bye week for the 1st Round of the playoffs,” said Cullen Clark.
