Recruiting Spotlight: Keimon Hardieway

Recruiting Spotlight: Keimon Hardieway, RB/WR, Chef Football, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Running back and wide receiver Keimon Hardaway of independent homeschool team Chef Football is an intriguing prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 5’7’’ and weighing 185 pounds, Hardieway is an athletic prospect in the backfield.

Hardieway did not play much last season, but when he did play, he was nothing short of impressive. Hardieway recorded 612 rushing on 69 carries and 16 touchdowns in only 5 games played. Coming back for his senior season, Hardieway is looking to have the same production as last season.

According to Lee Brecheen, Hardieway is spoken in high regard by his peers.

“One of the few players that I haven’t seen play, but he is highly regarded by his coach, Josh Coots. Coach Coots told me he was a college prospect and one of the best leaders on the team,” said Brecheen.

In the classroom, Hardieway maintains a 3.5 GPA, showing a strong commitment to his academics as well as his athletics. Once he gets to college, Hardieway would like to major in business, specifically marketing/entrepreneurship.

Hardieway spoke on what it’s like playing for an independent homeschool team.

“When I play for my team, it is a brotherhood. We all care about each other, and through a lot of adversity, we still show up every day to build a winning culture, not just as players but off the field too,” said Hardieway.

Hardieway currently has one offer from Salt Lake Community College, and he also went to the Gridiron Football Elite Camp this summer

Hardieway’s father, Dwayne Ceaser, played football in high school as a running back and linebacker. Athletics clearly run in his family.
