Recruiting Spotlight: Scott Sibley

Recruiting Spotlight: Scott Sibley, OG, Notre Dame High School, Crowley, Louisiana

Offensive guard Scott Sibley of Notre Dame High School is a physically intimidating prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 6 '3’’ and weighing 305 pounds, Sibley has the size and ability to make an impact at the next level.

Sibely will be the leader of the Notre Dame offensive line for his senior season. Sibley posts a 245-pound bench, a 465-pound squat, and a 265-pound power clean. With a good senior season, Sibley could expect some offers to come his way.

According to Lee Brecheen, Sibley is a big leader on the Notre Dame Offensive Line.

“This kid is a leader who is strong, and he’s got good feet. I think he has DI ability for the next level. His coach thinks he is a big-time player for the college level after talking to him in both 2025 and 2026,” said Brecheen.

In the classroom, Sibley maintains a 3.0 GPA, and he scored a 21 on the ACT, showing that he is committed to his academics as well as his athletics. Once he gets to college, Sibley wants to major in construction management.

Sibley spoke on how he feels about playing at Notre Dame.

“To be at Notre Dame is an honor. To play under Coach Cook is an even bigger honor. He is an absolute legend,” said Sibley.

Sibley does not currently hold any offers, but he attended several camps this summer at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana State University, Nicholls State University, McNeese State University, and Northwestern State University.

Both of Sibley’s parents played high school sports at Notre Dame. His dad, Beau Sibley, played football, and his mom, Sarah Richard, played basketball.
