Recruiting Spotlight: Terin Jones, ATH, Hammond High School, Hammond, Louisiana

Athlete Terin Jones of Hammond High School is a physically impressive prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 6’0’’ and weighing 190 pounds, Jones has the ability to play either defensive back or wide receiver at the next level.

Jones put together an impressive junior season, recording 1,056 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, 1,440 total yards, and 20 total touchdowns all together, showing he can do it all at quarterback and other positions on the field.

According to Lee Brecheen, Jones is a rare prospect who can use his athleticism to compete at the next level.

“This kid is a rare 4-year starter. I think he will be a DB/WR for college, but he’s a QB for the program in high school. I interviewed at Hammond last year, and I was really impressed with his leadership,” said Brecheen.

In the classroom, Jones maintains a 3.5 GPA, showing that he is committed to his academics as well as his athletics. Once he gets to college, Jones wants to major in sports therapy.

Jones spoke on what it means to be playing for his school and community.

“Its great playing for the community of Hammond and Coach Buckles. It feels great to get back to work as the season starts again,” said Jones.

Jones currently holds one offer from Millsaps College. He also went to camps at Louisiana Tech University, Lamar University, and Northwestern State University this summer.
