Recruiting Spotlight: Dylan Miller, OL, Ponchatoula High School, Ponchatoula, Louisiana

Offensive lineman Dylan Miller of Ponchatoula High School is a big recruit in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 6 '2’’ and weighing 270 pounds, Miller is an imposing prospect at offensive line.

‍

Miller didn’t play most of last year due to being hurt, but according to him, he is the strongest and fastest he has ever been. Miller backs up that statement with impressive strength numbers, posting a 525-pound squat, a 315-pound clean, and a 300-pound bench.

‍

According to Lee Brecheen, Miller is a big lineman, and with a good senior season, he can make his mark as a recruit and move up real fast.

‍

“This kid looks the part. He’s got the size, and he moves well. He needs to have a good senior season to play at the next level,” said Brecheen.

‍

In the classroom, Miller maintains a 3.7 GPA, and he scored a 22 on the ACT as he continues to balance academics and athletics. Once he gets to college, Miller wants to major in mechanical engineering.

Miller spoke on his mindset of what playing football means to him, and he spoke on what it is like playing for his coach.

‍

“Football is more than a physical game; it is a mental battle where preparation, strategy, and the ability to outsmart your opponent can make a difference. Playing for Coach Shaffet brings an even deeper hunger and determination to not only win, but to dominate every time we step on the field,” said Miller.

‍

Miller doesn’t currently hold any offers, but he would love to play football at the next level. He would like to play for Louisiana Tech University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Southeastern University.
