Recruiting Spotlight: Luke Vallery

Luke Vallery, West Monroe High School, West Monroe, Louisiana

Standout wide receiver class of 2027 Luke Vallery of West Monroe High School, is a multi-sport athlete while continuing to develop as a football prospect. Standing at 5 '11 and weighing 185pounds, Vallery has shown versatility to make an impact all over the field, whether it’s lining up at wide receiver and even taking direct snaps as a quarterback or running back.

Vallery’s athletic ability extends well beyond football. During his time on the track team, he reached state honors in the 400m run. Uses this to improve his speed on the football field.

According to Lee Brecheen, Vallery is a prospect who is currently under the radar and could turn a lot of heads this upcoming season.

“Son of a coach. You can tell he has a great IQ of the game and is a very underrated athlete at West Monroe High School. You can get his height and weight from the kid, but he’s got a good size.”

Athletic ties run deep in the family as Vallery’s mom was a powerlifter at West Monroe, and his dad played football at West Monroe as well as pitching for LCU. Vallery’s dad is also a coach on the West Monroe football staff.

Vallery spoke very highly of his coach, DeMichael Dizer

“I wish everyone could get an opportunity to play for West Monroe and Coach D Mike. He pushed us to not only be better football players but also be better men on and off the football field.

He also spoke highly of the rest of the coaching staff at West Monroe, mentioning does a great job upholding a high standard.

Vallery currently holds one offer to Millsaps, while talking with ULM, and plans to major in Kinesiology.
