Recruiting Spotlight: Logan Rogers, Patrick Taylor High School, New Orleans, LA
Running back Logan Rogers of Patrick Taylor Science and Technology Academy is one of the most productive and under-the-radar prospects in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing around 5’10” and 190–195 pounds, Rogers has built a reputation as a tough, physical runner with a complete skill set.
Rogers put together a standout season, rushing for 1,661 yards and 19 touchdowns while earning District 9-3A Offensive MVP honors along with All-State Honorable Mention recognition. His production speaks for itself, but it’s the way he runs—with power, vision, and burst—that makes him a difficult player to contain.
According to Lee Brecheen, Rogers is a hidden gem who has all the tools to play at the next level.
“I think he’s a DI running back for college. I had a chance to see him play in 2024 and 2025. The kid has power, vision, and speed. He’s a sleeper recruit—hidden gem,” Brecheen said.

Rogers has been a consistent presence for his program, starting for four years and competing as a multi-sport athlete, showcasing his overall athleticism and durability.
Off the field, Rogers is just as impressive. He carries a 4.5 GPA and has scored a 27 on the ACT, making him a strong academic prospect as well. He plans to major in mechanical engineering with a minor in environmental engineering at the next level.
“It means more when you build something from the ground up,” Rogers said. “The experience you get in football will stick with you for life.”
Rogers noted that the University of Louisiana at Lafayette has shown interest, and he remains focused on continuing to work toward earning scholarship opportunities.
Athletics run in the family, as both of his parents were involved in sports during high school, attending Archbishop Blenk High School and L.W. Higgins High School.
With elite production, strong academics, and a complete running back skill set, Logan Rogers is a Class of 2027 prospect who has all the tools to see his recruitment take off as more programs evaluate his film.
