Recruiting Spotlight: Kaden Jones

St. Thomas Aquinas outside linebacker Kaden Jones is a multi-talented prospect in the Louisiana Class of 2027. Measuring 5’11” and 175 pounds, he has decent height and good speed for his position.
Through nine games in 2026, Jones has recorded 42 tackles, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one sack.
A major injury sophomore year forced Jones to sit out the remainder of the season and most of his junior year.
Lee Brecheen says the injury allowed him to go under the radar, but he believes Jones can prove himself this year.
“[Jones] is a late bloomer who’s getting his first chance to show what he can do,” Brecheen says. “He’s a really good athlete with good speed and high effort.”
He holds a 3.5 GPA and plans to study kinesiology in college.
Jones has no offers and has been unable to attend camps because of injuries.
The prospect gives thanks to his coaching staff for helping recover from his injuries and says his family motivated to prove himself.
“It takes a lot to come back from that type of stuff, and some people don't come back from it,” Jones says. “I have two little brothers at home who I want to show that you can do anything that you put your mind to.”
Jones says his biggest influence on the field is Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown.
