Brody Gibson, Central Private School, Central, LA
Two-way standout Brody Gibson of Central Private School is a versatile athlete in the Class of 2027 who has made an impact on both sides of the football for the Redhawks. Standing 6’3” and weighing around 195 pounds, Gibson plays tight end and defensive end for Central Private while projecting as a tight end or wide receiver at the college level.
Gibson had a strong 2025 season and was voted District MVP on defense after consistently making plays for his team. On offense, he recorded 19 receptions for 533 yards and six touchdowns, averaging an impressive 28 yards per catch and 59 yards per game. His longest reception of the season went for 75 yards, showing his ability to stretch the field and create big plays.
Defensively, Gibson also produced at a high level. He finished the season with 75 total tackles, including 58 solo stops and 17 assists. He added 22 tackles for loss, five sacks, and a fumble return while showing the ability to disrupt offenses from the defensive line.

According to Lee Brecheen, Gibson is a prospect who stood out after seeing him in person.
“I saw him play in the spring of 2025 in a scrimmage against Westminster Christian High School in Opelousas, LA and came away impressed with his ball skills, ability to run, and toughness with high effort,” Brecheen said. “If someone gives him a chance to play college football, I like him to be in the 6-3, 215 range or bigger once he gets into a college weight room after another year following high school. I also saw him making plays as a defensive end for Central Private.”
In the classroom, Gibson has also excelled. He carries a 4.0278 GPA and has scored a 26 on the ACT while balancing athletics and academics. He hopes to pursue engineering in college.
Gibson is also a multi-sport athlete who plays both baseball and football for Central Private, continuing to develop his overall athletic ability. Athletics run in the family as well. His mother attended Central High School, where she was involved in dance, and his father played soccer at Mandeville High School.
With his size, versatility, strong academics, and production on both sides of the ball, Brody Gibson is a prospect who could see his recruiting attention continue to grow as he develops.
