Recruiting Spotlight: Braylon Guy, Highland Baptist Christian School, New Iberia, Louisiana

Outside linebacker Braylon Guy of Highland Baptist Christian School is a physical defensive prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 6’1’’ and weighing 220 pounds , Guy has the ideal size that college scouts will look for in a linebacker.

Guy put together an impressive junior season where he was a leader on the Highland Baptist Defense. Guy will return for his senior season to provide the same leadership and work ethic that he showcased this past season.

According to Lee Brecheen, Guy is a slept-on prospect who can use his size and athleticism to make an impact at the next level.

“He has the size you look for in a linebacker, he runs well, and he is a sleeper prospect,” said Brecheen.

In the classroom, Guy maintains a 3.6 GPA, showing a strong commitment to his academics as well as his athletics. Once he gets to college, Guy would like to major in computer science.

Guy spoke on what playing for Highland Baptist truly means to him.

“Playing for Highland Baptist means a lot of unexpected things and the coach will be competitive,” said Guy.
