Kicker, wide receiver, and defensive back Andrew Perry of Highland Baptist Christian School is a rare prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 5’8” and weighing 175 pounds, Perry has the potential to make an impact with his leg at the next level.

Perry put together an impressive junior season, receiving second-team all-district honors as a kicker, first-team all-district  for soccer, and honorable mention all-district for basketball. Perry shows his versatility not only on the football field but in other sports as well.

According to Lee Brecheen, Perry is a rare prospect at kicker who can make an impact at the DI level.

“He’s a rare 4-year starter at kicker who also plays wide receiver for his high school. He’s a big time sleeper with a strong leg who can also punt,” said Brecheen.

In the classroom, Perry maintains a 3.8 GPA, showing a strong commitment to his academics as well as his athletics.

Perry spoke on how playing for Highland help shaped him as a person both mentally and physically.

“Playing for Highland is great for both mental and physical development because nothing is handed to you and the whole state will count you out. The coaches will put their best into making you better as a person as well as an athlete by fighting through adversity while keeping Christ first through it all,” said Perry.

Perry does not currently hold any offers, but he has gone to camps at McNeese and ULL. He finished first in the kicking competition at McNeese, and placed top 5 at ULL with 100% accuracy in his field goal charts.
