Class 2026 Spotlight Recruits Carver High School New Orleans
By Lee Brecheen

The City of New Orleans has always produced big-time players from Public schools. When I first got in the business, I remember scouting a young Athlete by the name of Marshall Faulk, RB/DB at the time at Carver High School, who was not highly recruited, signed with San Diego State, and the rest is history as one of the greatest NFL Running Backs from the state of Louisiana and all time in the NFL.
This year, George Washington Carver HS in New Orleans has two young men who have a chance to be NFL players, I believe one day, and also are not being recruited nationally yet. Those two kids in the Class of 2026 are Safety Rayhienz (Deuce) Henry, 6-2, 185 pounds, and WR/TE/LB Chesney(Cheese) Sadler, 6-2, 220 pounds. These two kids are grown men playing the game of high school football.
I was able to see Deuce play his Soph year, and he was to me not only DI then but one of the best in the state as a talented Safety with incredible ball skills, reads, and hits like he’s on another level. I think he will grow into an OLB position, running a 4.59 forty and weighing 215 pounds, and be a superstar one day. Reminds me of a Laron Landry, former Hahnville HS and LSU star who later went on to the NFL as a starter. Then you have LB/WR/TE Cheese Sadler, who has a 6-2 220-pound college DI frame with toughness, feet, and ability to play multiple positions in college with legit 4.65 speed. I was able to see both players play this year against MCD 35 high school, a powerhouse program, and I just shook my head and said Wow, these kids are good enough to play for anyone in the US. I don’t care if they're ranked or not; they should be ranked really high for college.
Deuce Henry has worked out for Washington State University, and has been offered by Nicholls State, Louisiana Christian, and some Junior Colleges. Cheese Sadler has offers from Ole and Louisiana Christian in Pineville, La. These two kids are SEC players and future SEC starters.
Quote from Head Coach of Carver High School, Luis A. Figueroa Jr
Deuce is a generational human being, first of all. Does all the right things. This kid makes it so easy for me as a coach. He has helped this Carver program get back on its feet quicker than it should have.
Cheese Sadler has great hands. He is way big enough for college. His body will change in college because he will have the health program of training that we don’t have here at Carver HS. This kid is all in and will be remembered forever. Another example of a kid who does things the right way and does the right things for this program as a leader is Head Coach of George Washington Carver HS, Luis A. Figueroa Jr.
