Booker T. Washington Lions

Head Coach:Gary Cooper(4th year)
2025 Record:7-5
2025 Playoffs:1st Round beat Istrouma HS and 2nd Round lost to University High Lab HS.
Signees with Colleges:Athlete DK Mitchell(Junior College), WR/DB Vontravious Moore(Louisiana Christian), and Devondre Johnson(Junior College)
Team Outlook: “ Trying to find out new playmakers for the 2026 season,” said coach Cooper. “We graduated 3 big time skill players and 2 of those kids were All State players.”
The Offense does return some firepower, led by returning starting QB Devion Stewart 6'6" 230 pounds, who threw for 2,600 yards with 28 touchdowns in 2025. Stewart will also have some talented skill players back in WR Kendrell Johnson 5'10" 170 pounds, 4.5 speed in the forty; RB/SS Tramell Howard-Choyce 6'0" 180 pounds; WR/DB Ricky Walker 6'1" 175 pounds, leader; RB Kevin Coleman 5'7" 170 pounds, newcomer; RB Keyshawn McCuller 5'8" 150 pounds, newcomer; WR Layton Brown 5'9" 160 pounds, Honorable Mention All-District in 2025; and WR/DB Javyon Wilkins 5'9" 165 pounds, 4.5 speed in the forty.
More players to keep an eye on are DB Vincent Blake Jr. 5'10" 175 pounds, Honorable Mention All-District; LB/FB Ladarrion Banks Jr. 6'3" 205 pounds, had over 100 tackles in 2025, Honorable Mention All-District; LB Grazier May 5'10" 205 pounds, tough kid; DT Marvin Dixon 5'10" 245 pounds, Honorable Mention All-District, leader; OT JonQuavious Price 5'10" 235 pounds; OT Armani Forest 5'10" 235 pounds; Center Lamarion James 5'10" 260 pounds; and Defensive Tackle Javon Madison 5'10" 225 pounds.
Special Teams, the kicking and punting jobs will be open thru the Summer.

Bossier Bearkats

Head Coach:Gary Smith(4th year)
2025 Record:4-7
2025 Playoffs:1st Round lost to West Feliciana HS
2026  Non District Games:Week 1 North Caddo HS(Away), Week 2 Glenbrook HS(Home), Week 3 Logansport HS(Away), Week 6 North Webster HS(Away).
Team Outlook: “I feel like if the Offensive Line matures in time as a group and we stay healthy we can reach our goal of a home playoff game in 2026,” said coach Smith. “We really did well I thought in our Spring game against a talented Homer HS.”
One of the best athletes in the Bossier area and state, Montrevell Lewis, Quarterback for the team as a returning starter, had 2,850 yards total Offense in 2025, rushing for 1,500 yards and passed for 1,350 yards. Lewis is a determined kid who lays everything he has out on the field to win games. Quarterback Shante Wells is also going to get some reps at QB, 5'11" 165 pounds, talented player, which will allow, at times, Lewis to go to WR in the Offense. More skill players to watch on Defense and Offense in 2026 are WR Josiah Rachal 6'1" 160 pounds, 3-year starter; WR Jaylen James 5'9" 160 pounds, 3-year starter; WR Jamez Cobb 6'1" 180 pounds, 3-year starter; newcomer WR Ron Dillard 6'3" 185 pounds; WR/DB Javeon Mitchell 5'7" 140 pounds; RB/LB Braylyn Williams 6'1" 190 pounds; RB L.J. Jackson 5'7" 150 pounds; RB Demareya Bates 5'11" 180 pounds; and twins Dorrian McCoy 6'0" 165 pounds and Dylan McCoy 6'1" 180 pounds, both CB/Safeties for the team as seniors.
The Bearkats will be adding depth in the Fall with younger players in the trenches and at Linebacker. Here are key Linemen and Linebackers returning: OLB DeMarcus Smart 6'0" 170 pounds, 2nd-year starter; LB Amajai Geeter 5'11" 170 pounds, 2nd-year starter; LB Chad Jackson 6'0" 175 pounds, 2nd-year starter; DT Jeshua Lugo 6'2" 280 pounds; OL Bernard Smith 6'2" 245 pounds; OL Dwayne McCray 5'10" 180 pounds; OG D.J. Steadman 5'10" 180 pounds; and new Tight End Jaden Davis, a senior.

Minden Crimson Tide

2026 Non District Games:Week 1 North Webster HS(Away),Week 2 Homer HS(Home),and Week 3 West Ouachita HS(Home)

Team Outlook: “ Young team.” “Talented players, I like this team," said coach Heard. “ We also have a QB battle among two really good players, and we will be young on the Offensive Line.” “Small senior class in 2026.” “We are preaching to the players: focus daily and do things a certain way as a program.” 

The Quarterback battle coach talked about above, you have Jaden Johnson 5'8" 155 pounds with 4.4 speed in the forty, looked good at QB in 2025, got a ton of experience, and the young talented Kaiden King 6'1" 185 pounds has a good arm and is a new player to the team. If King wins the job, Johnson can go full time as a big-time playmaker as a WR/RB for the Offense. The Offense also returns big-time playmaker RB/SS Lucas Owens for his 3rd year as a starter, 5'11" 200 pounds, with power and speed, one of the best in the District. More skill players to watch on both sides of the football are RB/HB Jarden Carey 6'1" 205 pounds, power with speed; Safety Malik Harrison 5'10" 170 pounds; WR Ian Clark 5'9" 155 pounds, 4.5 speed in the forty, new starter; WR Emmanuel Kinsey 6'0" 168 pounds, new starter; CB Shmar George 5'9" 170 pounds, new starter; and CB/WR Abreon Curry 6'0" 170 pounds, returning starter with 4.5 speed also in the forty.

Key Linemen and Linebackers returning are MLB Javen Calloway 6'1" 240 pounds, big-time 3-year starter, leader; MLB Braylen Fuerell 5'9" 210 pounds; OL Chevy Delaney 6'3" 285 pounds, senior, will lead a young Offensive Line; OL Zachariah Flournoy 6'2" 230 pounds; Center Bryson Clark 5'9" 300 pounds; OG Chance Jenkins 6'1" 220 pounds; DE Jonathan Cooksey 6'2" 235 pounds, new starter; DT Isiah McCuin 5'10" 250 pounds; DT Tikendrick Jenkins 5'9" 300 pounds; and OL/OT Laterrance Goldstin 5'11" 285 pounds, new starter, strong player.

Special Teams starting Kicker Carter Martin 5'10" 165 pounds returns to handle Extra Points and Field Goals. 

North Desoto Griffins

Head Coach:Dennis Dunn (8th year)
2025 Record:13-1.District 7-0
2025 Playoffs: 2nd Round beat DeRidder HS, Quarterfinals beat Franklinton HS, Semisfinals beat Plaquemine HS, and State Title Game lost to Iowa HS 50-43.
Signees Colleges: QB Luke Delafield (Northwestern State), RB Kenny Thomas (Louisiana Tech), Athlete Braelyn Latin (Louisiana Christian), and OL/DL Mason Guillory( Hendrix College)
2026 Non District Games: Week 1 Union Parish HS(Home), Week 2 Center HS Texas(Away), Week 3 Byrd HS(Home), Week Week 8 Franklin Parish HS(Away)
Team Outlook: “Tradition standard remains the same," said coach Dunn. “ We lost a lot but, names and faces change but our goals remain the same and we have one goal to play in December.” “We also have players that have been waiting their turn to start in 2026.”
The Offense will have a new Quarterback for the 1st time in 4 years. The new starter will be the talented Mason Smith 6'0" 170 pounds with a ton of upside to be another 4-year starter like Luke Delafield, who signed with (Northwestern State), did an incredible job with the program, and led the team to two State Title appearances, and this kid has a lot of talent to become that same type player. The Griffins Offense averaged over 50 points a game in 2025 in 10 of the 14 games, and scored 60 or more in 3 games. Key skill players back to keep this Offense in high gear are TE Miller Warren 6'4" 235 pounds, a 4-year starter, leader with 4.8 speed; WR Christian Ashworth 5'9" 165 pounds; WR Khy Johnson 5'9" 160 pounds; WR Brody Snedegar 5'9" 170 pounds; WR/DB Braylon Moore 6'1" 185 pounds; WR Colton LaCour 6'0" 180 pounds; RB Derik White 5'10" 170 pounds; and RB Steven Sims 5'9" 165 pounds. The Offensive Line will be a really strong group, led by Chance Walker 6'1" 280 pounds, Center Dax Hammond 6'0" 240 pounds, OL Brentlee Linson 6'3" 305 pounds, OG Kason Klitzke 6'1" 280 pounds, and Tripp Caskey 6'0" 280 pounds. More players rotating in on the OL/Tight End are Kyler Bogue 6'0" 260 pounds, Sawyer Stoma 6'1" 255 pounds, TE/FB Trip Parker 5'11" 220 pounds, and OL Joey Fargue 6'2" 260 pounds.
The Defense will be quick and strong again, led by LB/RB Hayden Bell 5'10" 190 pounds, a 3-year starter, led the team with 118 tackles and 2 interceptions in 2025, big-time leader; DE Jameson Wiley 6'4" 220 pounds; DE Andrew Arinder 6'1" 215 pounds; LB Logan Addison 5'10" 220 pounds, a 3-year starter; LB Bryson Evans 5'11" 190 pounds, a 3-year starter; DT Jonathan Perry 6'0" 255 pounds; LB Cooper Warren 6'2" 205 pounds; LB Jordan Kemp 5'9" 210 pounds; Safety Brayden Thomas 5'9" 160 pounds, a 3-year starter; CB E.J. Taylor 6'0" 175 pounds; and CB Jacob Haley 5'8" 175 pounds.
Special Teams will be very strong for the program in 2026. Kicker will be Dakota Denny 5'10" 165 pounds, a 4-year starter, leader, consistent Kicker with a good leg. Punter will be Miller Warren. Long Snapper will be Briar Tharpe 5'10" 170 pounds, returning for his 2nd year and does a good job.

Northwood Falcons

2025 Record:8-3
2025 Playoffs:1st Round lost to Barbe HS
2026 Non District Games: Week 1 Benton HS(Home), Week 2 West Ouachita HS(Away), Week 3 Captain Shreve HS(Home), Week 4 Loyola Prep HS(Home).
Team Outlook: “I think we will be better than we have been with more depth as a team since I’ve been here these past 5 years," said coach Brown. “ We are also excited that we bring back our starting five Offensive Linemen with over 100 starts together as a group and 11 seniors will be coming back on Offense.”
The Offense will have a new starting Quarterback with 2 players that both can bring the program a different skill set: QB Peyton Boone 5'10" 160 pounds, more of a runner right now, and E.J. McHenry 6'0" 215 pounds, more of a passing QB, and both Quarterbacks can do both. The Offense returns 3 seniors at Wide Receiver, Duntavious Young 5'10" 160 pounds, Rowan Lewis 5'10" 150 pounds, and WR Rashad Hattin 6'0" 165 pounds, all really good football players. The run game, you have senior Justin Dupree 5'8" 200 pounds, power with speed; RB Mason Sims 5'8" 195 pounds, has power and is quick; and RB Kaden Stewart 5'9" 160 pounds, very talented new player to the Offense. The Offensive Line, all 5 players return and all are leaders in OT Adam Hemphill 6'1" 260 pounds, OT Zechariah Reed 6'3" 300 pounds, Center Mario Jones 6'0" 260 pounds, OL Kheyden Cornelious 5'10" 260 pounds, and OG Racyn Graham 6'0" 205 pounds, who also will play some Defensive End for the Defense. You also have a pretty good Tight End back in Owen Bohannon 5'10" 200 pounds, a team captain and senior.
The Defensive Line will be young overall and led by Defensive Tackle Christopher Monette 6'2" 280 pounds, DE/DT Tristin Woodson 6'0" 210 pounds, one of the strongest players on the team and a 2-way starter, and Racyn Graham 6'0" 205 pounds. The Linebackers, you have a really good experienced group led by 4-year starter, leader, and team captain Kolby Turner 6'0" 215 pounds, senior; LB Andre Germany 5'10" 180 pounds; LB Bryson Sillers 6'1" 210 pounds; and LB Kayden King 6'1" 180 pounds. The Defensive Back will be led by Safety Team Captain Elijah Bell 5'8" 150 pounds, a ball hawk and big-time football player; Safety Adren Walker 5'10" 160 pounds, also a WR for the Offense; and CB Zamarion Jackson 5'8" 175 pounds.
Special Teams, Punter, and Kicker are all open positions still to win after Spring ball ended. Long Snapper will be senior leader Adam Hemphill.

Southwood Cowboys

Head Coach: De’Aumante Johnson(2nd year)
2025 Record:3-6
2026 Non District Games: Week 1 Green Oaks HS(Away), Week 2 Haughton HS(Away), and Week 3 Wossman HS(Home).
Team Outlook: “ I was hired late in 2025 in my 1st year proud of what we were able to accomplish in a short time,” said coach Johnson.” “We should have close to 100 players including Freshman in 2026.”
The Offense will not lack speed or talent, led by Quarterback Jayden Carter 5'11" 190 pounds, a returning starter, really good athlete and leader for the team. Carter had 670 passing yards, 7 passing Touchdowns, and 5 rushing Touchdowns. More skill players to watch on both sides of the football are WR/DB James Harris 6'0" 175 pounds, great athlete, leading WR from the 2025 season with 355 yards receiving and 5 Touchdowns; WR/TE Logan Stevenson 6'1" 185 pounds, had 200 yards receiving and 2 Touchdowns; RB Roger Moore 5'10" 175 pounds; RB Bry'lon McKnight Henry 5'10" 220 pounds, one of the strongest players on the team; WR/TE Charshun Martin 6'5" 200 pounds, 4.65 speed in the forty; CB Dallas Anderson 5'9" 155 pounds; SS/FS Cedric Beene 5'11" 185 pounds, a returning starter, 4.6 speed in the forty; and also back for his 3rd year as a starter, WR/DB Nyangadzai-Zia-Jenya 6'1" 165 pounds, has legit 4.5 speed in the forty.
Key Linemen and Linebackers back are OL/DL Jaden Douglas, a 3-year starter, leader, 6'1" 270 pounds; OG/DL Broderick King 6'1" 275 pounds, a 3-year starter; OL/OT Evan Martin 6'3" 270 pounds (benches 315 pounds); Center Brady Tester 5'9" 250 pounds; OL Kyle Hayes 6'1" 245 pounds; DT Stean Anderson 6'3" 290 pounds (benches over 300 pounds); DE Alex Williams 6'3" 210 pounds, new starter; DE Kyron Davenport 6'2" 205 pounds; LB Mario Dumas 6'0" 210 pounds, big-time player on Defense; LB Jordan Anderson 5'9" 200 pounds, new starter; and LB Deshun Bonner 6'1" 190 pounds.
Special Teams starting at Kicker will be Chadarius Rhines 5'10" 175 pounds, has a very good leg and future. Starting Long Snapper will be Deshun Bonner.

Woodlawn Knights

Head Coach: Lavelle Wilson(1st year)
2025 Record:2-8
Signees Colleges: RB Semaj Snow, LB T.J Winzer, DE Adonnus Smith.
Team Outlook: “Slogan in 2026 Commit to the Grind and Trust the Process,” said coach Wilson.  “We are working hard and the kids are doing a good job and pleased with our workouts during Spring and continue this Summer.”
The program will rely on big playmakers to start off, players like 3-year starter Javion Washington 5'10" 170 pounds, has legit 4.4 speed, CB/WR, does it all; QB Jeremiah Gustain, new starting QB, got time at the spot in 2025, 6'0" 170 pounds, 4.45 speed in the forty; RB Alvis Gobart 5'9" 175 pounds, sleeper player with over 1,200 All-Purpose yards in 2025 and 300 yards as a WR; RB/LB Kirron Taylor 5'11" 175 pounds; WR Steven Snow 5'8" 155 pounds, quick as anyone in the District; TE Jaylnn Wilson 5'10" 185 pounds, 2nd-year starter, 4.6 speed; WR SR Jaden White, if he comes back from Basketball; and several young players competing to get reps on Offense. Defensive skill players to watch are CB D'Anthony Wright 6'0" 155 pounds, 2nd-year starter; CB Antavion Lott 5'10" 165 pounds, new starter; Safety Woody Woodard 5'11" 170 pounds, new starter; and more young players battling this Summer.
Key linemen in the program are led by OT/DE Sterling Shephard 6'4" 265 pounds, leader; OL Micah French 6'5" 275 pounds, leader; OL Brezavion Miller 6'0" 260 pounds, new starter; TE J.D. Davis 6'4" 190 pounds; and DE/DT Ja'Marion Morgan 5'10" 215 pounds, strong kid and quick.
Special Teams will have a new starting Kicker, Edwin Masina 5'8" 155 pounds, lettered in 2025 with a good leg.
