The Offense will have a Quarterback battle in the Summer and Fall between Travanta Allridge, 6-3 185, who got experience at the position in 2024 but missed games with an injury, and is now healthy. The other QB competing will be Kerrian Mosley, 6-5, 205, a new player to the program with a lot of ability. Both kids will be starters for the program if not at QB, another skill position in 2025. Both players are two of the toughest on the team

The clear-cut starter for Running Back will be 2nd-year starter Kovante Howard, 5-8, 165 SR. Depth for RB will be decided in early Fall practice. The WR room will be one of the most talented spots on the team lead by WR Travon James 6-2 180 2nd year starter, WR/CB Kameron Jackson 6-0 170 2nd year starter,  WR Ladainian Perna 5-10 185, new starter, and WR Charcolby Donaldson, 6-1 165, another new starter.  The Offensive Line will be young but returns 1 player with experience, OL Raykwon Johnson, 6-3 260 SR. Assumption Mustangs

Head Coach:Will Broussard(4th year)

2024 Record:4-7

2024 Playoffs:1st Round lost to Iota HS

2023 Record:9-3.Won District 6-0 Record

Key players Graduated: QB Landen Sanchez, OL/DL Jace Williams(Arkansas Monticello), WR/CB Koby Bimah(Arkansas Monticello), Punter/TE Cameron Ott(Student Baton Rouge CC), LB Darrell Harris, TE/DE Andrew Thibodeaux.

Team Outlook:  Started off-season right after Thanksgiving.  The attitude of the kids has been good. Kids want to be good football players. The players are putting in the work for us to be successful. We will run a lot of 4 Wide and throw the ball a lot in 2025. We are very short on total linemen on the team. Most of our skill starters will start both sides of the football in 2025. Defense in 2025 will run a 4-2-5 most of the time said Head Coach Will Broussard.”

Tidbits:  Coach thinks the team has a chance to have 65 to 70 players on varsity, including Freshman, by the time Fall comes aaaroundhich is a good number to grow with. 20-25 of those will be freshmen coming in to play for the first time.

The Mustangs will have a new starting Quarterback in Zion Willoughby, 5-11, 10, a 2nd-year starter, who started as a CB/WR in 2024 and did a great job. Coach thought he improved as a QB in Spring practice and will get better every day. Will give the team another running threat to a run game, which returns to back Kaleb Davis 5-8 180 S, R, missed some games in 2024 because of an injury, but is back fully healthy and should have a great senior season.

E. D. White Cardinals

Head Coach:Kyle Lasseigne(15th year)

2024 Record:11-3

2024 Playoffs: Runner Up State Title Game

2023 Record:11-1.Quarterfinals lost to Teurlings Catholic HS

Key players Graduated: WR Aiden Soignet, OL Tommy Bower, FB/HB Phillip Hillman, OL Hudson Oncale, OL Zach Guin, OL Ben Blanchard, DE Luke Trotti, DT Adam Talbot, DT Cooper Passman, LB Jax Triche, LB MJ Sternfels, Safety Nate Thompson, Safety Evan Webre, CB Luke Zeringue, Kicker/Punter Ty Powell(Marshall), RB Ben Guidry, DB Luke Zeringue

Team Outlook: We only go as far as our experience. It will depend on how long it takes us to develop our new linemen will determine how we do overall in 2025. We lost 4 out of 5 starters on the Offensive Line. We graduated 3 out of our 4 starting Defensive linemen. We lost basically 5 starters at Defensive Back, also to graduation. Overall, we lost a senior class of 16 starters with a ton of experience to replace for the 2025 season said Head Coach Kyle Lasseigne.”

Tidbits: One of the most successful High School football programs in Louisiana over the last 5 years is E.D White High School. The Cardinals program in the last 5 years has either made it to the State Title game, Semifinals, or Quarterfinals.  That is a truly amazing stat, hard to accomplish for any Classification in Louisiana. Also, the Flex-Bone Offense is one of the hardest to stop in Louisiana, and the Cardinals staff does a great job of developing and teaching their kids how to run the Offense, losing big senior classes to graduation every year without any dropoff, it seems.

The program returns one of the top leaders on the team in 2024 Hon Mention All State/All District Quarterback Grant Barbera, 6- 1, 200 pounds, led his team to the State Title game in 2024 and will look to get his team back again in 2025. Barbera is a great kid who competes and does a great job running the Offense and looks to have his best season yet. The skill talent around Barbera will be strong with experience back skilled players do return like RB Reece LaFont 5-10 170, returning starter FB Carter Douglas 5-7 170 has a lot of experience,  returning starter RB Landon Babin 5-7 170, WR Ashton Soignet 5-8 150 a 3 year starter, WR Chase Naquin 5-7 160 4.45 speed in the forty, and RB Jonathan Lee 5-10 190 big time leader SR. The Offensive Line only returns one starter in OT Hudson Simonea,x 6-3, 210. Players to keep an eye on as possible starters are OL Harrison Oncale 5-8 220, OL Joseph Piccola 5-9 220,  OL Cooper Andrews 5-10 220, OL Colten Duplantis 5-10 225, OL Sam Guin 5-10 220, all competing for starting jobs for the first time.

The Defense will return not only a leader for the program but one of the best players in all of Class 4A, LB Charlie Diedrich, 6-1, 228 pounds, All State in 202,4, a nd will go into the 2024 season with 260 plus tackles in his career. This kid is special, reads and reacts, and makes so many plays for this team going into his 3rd year as a starter. The Defensive Line like the Offensive Line will have a few players competing for starting jobs for the first time and here are a few of the players competing DE Harrison Jones 6-0 200, DE Alex Perche 5-8 175, DT Owen Martinez 6-0 250, DT Phillip Rupe 5-8 220, and DT Luke Cortez 6-0 220.  You will also see RB Jonathan Lee play a lot at Do, as a force against on Defense. A new starter at LB will be Quinn Sternfels, 5-10, 180.  The Defensive Backfield lost a lot of experience and will have a few players also competing for starting spots, like DB Owen Porche 5-10 180, DB Jackson Riche 5-10 180,  DB Evin Arcenment 5-7 160, CB Chase Naquin 5-8 170, and DB Braelyn Jennings 5-8 150.

Special Teams Kicker is open till Fall starts. Punter should be Jonathan Lee, who will also probably handle Kickoffs for the team's return game. You will have Chase Naquin back returning Kickoffs with his legit 4.45 speed in the forty as a big-time playmaker.

Lutcher Bulldogs

Head Coach:Dwain Jenkins(10th year)

2024 Record:9-1.Did not play a scheduled game because of the Hurricane against St. Charles Catholic HS

2024 Playoffs:2nd Round lost to Cecillia HS

2023 Record: Quarter-Finals 9-3

Key players Graduated: QB Zach Jenkins(Coaching Student Assistant LSU), DE Reshad Sterling(Houston), WR Dwayne Winfield(Belhaven),  SS/OLB Tariot Snowden(Belhaven), WR Marc Zeno,2024 District Offensive MVP RB/WR Trenton Chaney, WR Dameium Marcell, DE Marcus Gibson, HB/FB Josh Harris, OL Chris Jones, DB Coy Ruiz.

Team Outlook:  The Biggest question mark will be who will win the QB position between now and early fall practice. We return 4 starters on the Offensive Line that played in every game in 2024, and 1 starter on the Offensive Line played most of the season said Head Coach Dwain Jenkins.

Tidbits:  What a great coaching and developing job Head Coach Dwain Jenkins has accomplished with Lutcher High School in 9 years since 2016. Two State Titles in 2016 and 2022. 75 wins to just 30 losses and playoff appearances all 9 years. I would not be shocked if this team competes for another state title in its rich history if the QB spot can be filled in 2025 and just be solid with a great Offensive Line back. Lutcher High School, as a program in football, has 9 State Titles in its rich history.

The Quarterback battle will consist of two young players, both got reps on the JV team in 2024: McCall Simon, 5-11 160, and Dylan Delaneuville. Both will become good players for the program in time.

The best skill player in the program and one of the few 2 way starters return’s in 3 year starter 2024 All District Ashton Stark 5-9 165 returns also as the team’s leading WR in 2024 with 45 catches,470 yards & 7 touchdowns combined in the last 2 years, and this kid is one of the best players in the district as a Cornerback and Special Teams a great player in the return game.

The Offensive Line i think from watching these kids play the last two years as a group is one of the best groups i have seen coming back in one season with 2 and 3 years experience each for each player starting with 2024 All District OT Jayden Michael 6-4 305 SR a 3 year starter, OG Colin Hastings 5-11 265 a 3 year starter, OT Matt Lambert 6-3 270 a 2nd year starter, and Center Logan Borne 5-10 265 a 3 year starter one of the best Centers in the state. The 5th starter will be Caden Long, 5-11,, 265 played in a bunch of games in 2025.  There’s also HB/FB Quantez Joseph 6-0 25, a 3-year starter, but 2 years at Offensive Line as a starter.  The run game and passing game at WR, you will have RB Jaimylon Joseph, who had 56 carries for 395 yards with 3 touchdowns rotated in 2024, RB Christian Smith will get reps, and Wide Receivers will be Ashton Stark, 2-wayy starter WR/DB Chase Pittman, 5-8 155, and WR Leandre Booth.

The Defense will be a eally solid group with experience back like DE Elijah Fobb 6-0 240 2nd year starter,  OLB/Safety Derrick Jenkins 6-0 185 4.5 in the forty 3 year starter,2024 All District DT Caden Parquette 6-0 260 one of the best Defensive Lineman in the state starting his 4th year, LB Coy Ruiz 5-11 205 a 3 year starter super strong SR, DE Dylan Webster 6-1 230, and 2nd year starter LB Drey Suzubinski 5-11 195. The Secondary has a few options with Ashton Stark CB, 2024 All District CB Chase Pittman,  CB Jayce Ferrygood 5-8 150 2nd year starter, CB Kani Price 5-8 150, Safety/OLB Alex Jenkins 5-11 170,  Safety/OLB Chase Williams 5-9 165, and Safety Brayden Krumholt 5-8 160.

Special Team, the leading candidate to win both the Kicker and Punting jobs, will be Dylan Delaneuville.  One of the best return special team performers in Louisiana is back in Ashton Stark and Chase Pittman.

Morgan City Tigers

Head Coach:Mark Danos(2nd year)

2024 Record:0-9

2024 Playoffs: No

2023 Record:3-6

Key players Graduated:QB Thomas Mancuso(LSU),K/P Jairo Gomez,FS Anthony Bourgeois

Team Outlook:  Going through a tough season in 2024, we played a lot of young players. We hope that the experience the young players got on varsity will bleed over to success in 2025. I think our players now have an idea of how to get over the hump for the 2025 with the experience and maturity now behind them said Head Coach Mark Danos.

Tidbits:  The program will go to more of a Triple Option Offense with more running plays in 2025.  After talking to coach Danos, the program has a really talented Freshman class coming up, along with the young players who played in 2024.

You will see a few players start on both sides of the football or get reps on both sides of the football in 2025. Players to keep a eye on are DB/RB Devin Campbell a 2nd year starter 5-5 160 SR, WR/Safety Lamarion Griffin 6-3 185 a 2nd year starter, TE/DE/LB Micah Wilkerson one of the best players on the team a SR 6-2 205, WR/Safety Jamyrie Bias 6-1 175 All District in 2024 with close to (900 yards receiving with 6 touchdowns in 2024), RB/MLB Muntrell Webb 5-11 185 2nd year starter, OG/DE Madix Torres 5-11 252 one of the strongest players on the team a 3 year starter,  DE/DT/OL Dekhyre Ruffin 6-3 230 3 year starter,  OT/DT Xyavion Jackson 6-3 285 a 3 year starter, RB/CB Gerren Hayes 5-11 160, DE/FB Keagan Hoyt 5-9 210 power, RB Johnny Lopez 5-9 230 from OT power back, Safety Timothy Junifer 2nd year starter 6-1 170,  DT/OL Santiago De Angel 5-10 280 SR, LB/TE Aaden Wiggins 5-11 180 2nd year starter,  OG Blake Bolner new starter 5-9 205, and OL/DL Felipe  5-11 240 new starter

The Offense will have a new QB for the first time in 2 years. The QBs will be talented young Jaryan A. and talented Jason McCleary, both can play multiple positions for the program if not QB in the end.

Special Teams players competing to be the Kicker & Punter are Juan Villegas, 5-1, 160, also a Safety for the team, and Jonny Lope, 5-9, 230.  Coach likes the potential of these two players for Special teams.

Team Outlook: The program returns a lot of returning starters at the skill spots for 2025. Our motto is ( All Gas No Brakes in 2025). This is the time to put the foot on the Gas and don't look back said Head Coach Brian Young.”

The Tarpons did win 4 of their last 5 games in 2024. So the program has some momentum going into the 2025 season.  I like the Offensive Lineman coming back as a group. There's not a lot of depth, but the linemen in the program are really good. The OL will be led by OT Beau George,,s 6-3 265,  Center Carter Callais, 6-1 265,2024 All District OT Sawyer Wels, 6-4 285, three college prospects all on one line in Class 4A.  The QB spot returns leader sleeper Athlete Josh Mack, basically back for his 3rd year as the starting QB, 6-2, 180 pounds, with a really good arm and runs a 4.69 forty.  The run game returns 3 players capable of all having over 500 yards rushing in 2025 SR Landon Dardar 5-9 205 tough leader 4 year starter, 3 year stater leader RB Landon Jarvis 5-10 165 SR also some CB for the team,  and RB Andravin Hughes 5-9 160 quick and tough 3 year starter a SR. The best player on the team returns in starting 2024 All District WR Terrence Pitre 5-9 150 SR, but plays like he’s 200 pounds with the ball in his hands and makes a lot of great catches too a football player.

The Defense also returns some tough key experienced players in LB Ty’reece Edwards 5-10 190, 2nd year starter Safety Yair Torres 5-10 175 SR,2nd year starter LB Joao Araujo 5-9 200 SR, MLB Tucker Dantin 5-8 195 SR,  and Safety Ress Duhe 5-8 170 SR, a 2nd year starter.RB Landon Jarvis will also play some CB/DB for the team again in 2025.

Team Outlook: We had a small senior class in 2024. We bring back 19 out of 22 starters for the 2025 season. Our Offensive Line will be one of our stronger spots on the team. We are also lucky enough to have a 3-year starting QB back. We are working to take that next step as a program in 2025 said Head Coach Aaron Babin.”

Tidbits: Coach Babin and his staff work hard and do a good job in a tough District.  In  2025, if they stay healthy, there is a chance for more wins in the end. Team and staff are working hard to grow the program, as the coach said next step.

Team Outlook:  We graduated 19 seniors from the year before. Just about all of them were impact players for our program.  We lost our starting QB and both running backs to graduation, and 2 linebackers in that '19 that were incredible players for us. We are light-years ahead of where we were in 2024. We are stronger, quicker, and faster as a team in 2025. I think our Offensive Line going into the season will be the Heart and Soul of the team said Head Coach Brian Wallace.”
