Tidbits: Head Coach Dennis Dunn has over 250 career wins and, if things go as planned, will have close to 265 wins after the 2025 season. Coach Dunn and his staff have achieved a State Title Runner up with a  12-2 record in 2022, 2023 Semifinals 11-2, and in 2024 Quarterfinals 10-3 in 3 years, most coaches would be happy but this program has there sights like coach said up top Complete the Mission and Win a State Title in 2025.

One of the main reasons this program has a chance to go back to the Superdome and win it all is because of a 4-year starting 2024 All-State QB returning in Luke Delafield, 6-2, 190 pounds, with the experience and leadership the program needs to win a title.  There’s also some really good talent around Delafield coming back on Offense in 2024 2nd team All State/District Offensive MVP RB Kenny Thomas III 5-9 180 runs with power and has 4.5 speed in the forty, WR/TE Miller Warren 6-4 240 talented as any big TE in Louisiana,  RB Braelyn Latin 5-9 180 another talented back, WR Braylon Moore 6-2 180 playmaker new starter, WR Timothy Hooper 6-1 165 new starter, WR E.J Taylor 5-11 170 new starter had a good Spring Pratice coach mentioned, and WR Colton Lacour 6-1 175 new starter. Team Outlook: We will have a very Athletic fast team in 2025. What we don't have is the overall size in the trenches or the depth there. We need most of our players to start both sides of the football in 2025 said Head Coach Austin Brown.”

Tidbits: Head Coach Austin Brown is an Alum of Lawton High School in Oklahoma (Class 2007). Coach Brown came to Louisiana as a grade assistant at Northwestern State under then Head Coach Bradley Dale Peveto. In 2025, the Northwood High School Track Relay team, made up mostly of football players, was ranked #1 in the state for much of the season in Class 4A.Athlete.Northwood High School was the 4x1 State Champion in Track in 2025.

I agree with the coach after meeting these players in person, watching some of the Track practice this year in person, and the Football games in 2024. This is one of the fastest teams in all of Class 4A in Louisiana, not just Shreveport, La.

Some of the skill players are Athlete 2024 Hon Mention All State Justin R. Southwood Cowboys

Head Coach:De’Aumante Johnson(1st year)

Key players Graduated: LB/DE Tyuane Woodard, DE Jordan Cunningham, WR Lyguinton Pinkney, QB Cornelius Martin,  RB Dylan Turner, FB Roderick Banks Jr, OT Cameron Conway, WR Eric Baulkman, and CB Corion Johnson.

Team Outlook: New Head Coach Johnson was recently an assistant Cornerbacks college coach for Grambling State College and was the former Head Coach for football for 2 years at Bossier HS from 2021 to 2022. The Cowboys have lost 46 straight games in football and look to snap that streak soon. Kids are working hard for the upcoming season. Great off-season. Kids are becoming disciplined, accountable, and tough right now with what we have set up moving forward. I am glad I coached College football at Grambling State College, it made me a better and higher IQ coach of the game, and it’s something I can carry over to the Cowboy program now. I appreciate the opportunity Head Coach Mickey Joseph gave me at Grambling State said Head Coach De’Aumante Johnson.

The Offense will return many options for the Offensive Line lead by 3 year starter Roderick Loveance 6-0 260 SR, OL Mason Whitley 6-4 360, OL Broderick King 6-0 290, OL Jaden Douglas 6-1 270, OL London Powell 5-10 255, and OL John Rachal 6-2 245 SR. The Offense also has a few options, starting with returning starting QB from the 2024 season, Jayden Carter. Carter has a chance to be a great player with 4.5 speed, and every day arm is improving. There’s also on Offense TE Charshun Martin 6.4 185, RB Javious Washington 5-8 175, RB Harlem Nichols 5-5 140 quick in space, RB Chris Green 5-9 185, WR Nyangadzai Jenya 6-2 160, WR sleeper Chris Shephard 6-1 175 4.5 speed, and 2 way starter WR/DB Kidrick Baukman 6-1 180 SR 4.55 speed.

The Defense has a lot of raw talent back with the potential to be a good unit in 2025. They are lead by LB/DE John Rachal 6-2 240, DE/OLB Kyron Davenport 6-1 220,  DE Winfred Avant 6-2 225 SR, DE Jerremiah Green 6-0 200 2nd year starter hitter, DT Kameron Demery 5-9 255 2nd year starter SR, CB Caden Davis returning starter 5-11 170 SR, DB Christian Green 5-11 175 SR 2nd year starter 4.5 speed 2-wayy starter Kidrick Baukman 6-1 180, and Safety/CB Evan Dooley 5-11 165 2nd year starter tough kid.

Woodlawn Knights

Head Coach:Thedrick Harris(5th year)

Team Outlook: We have a lot of promising young skill talent back for the 2025 season. The biggest question mark going into the Summer is who is going to be our QB and leader, and which young lineman will step up on the Offensive Line for new starting roles. I like how our Defense is coming together with 8 starters back for the 2025 season said Head Coach Thedrick Harris.”

Tidbits: Head Coach Thedrick Harris was one heck of a football player at Minden High School back in the day. Woodlawn High School has a ton of history with sports programs and football. Some of the top players i enjoyed watching over the years from the program are QB Tyrone Frazier(LSU), QB James Gillyard(LSU was a Defensive End in College), Safety/WR Donovan Wilson(Texas A&M), DB Henry Black(Baylor), TE Lawrence Hart(Southern U), and DE/OLB Torshiro Davis(Texas).  Basketball's famous Alum is the great Boston Celtic Robert Parrish, and Football, everyone knows QB Terry Bradshaw, and Joe Ferguson, two of the best Quarterbacks to ever play high school football in Louisiana.

The Offense has 2 Quarterbacks capable of starting in 2025. Both started in 2024 at the QB Spot, Mikyle Armstron, 6-1, 225, and Michael Gustain. Whoever doesn’t win the QB spot will start at WR for the team, and maybe some Defense. The Offense lost several playmakers but return some talented skill players like Javion Washington a 4.45 speed guy also will play some CB for the Defense, RB Alvis Gobert lettered in 2024 ran for over 500 yards as a backup last season, All District Kaden Pikes returns as a WR/CB for the team in 2025, and there will be some talented young WR’s enter the mix new to the program since Spring. The Offensive Line, though young, does return some experience in OT Sterling Shephard, OG/OT Michael French, and new starter Keenan Barnes, 6-2 275 SR. The Offensive Line also hopes to get back Nelson Boyd before the season is over. He’s recovering from an injury in 2024.  Boyd would give this OL a boost if he could come back as a leader.

The Defense returns a great Linebacking core of experience and leadership in 2024 All District LB T.J Winzer 5-7 210 had over 70 plus tackles in 2024 with several fumble recoveries and big hits a SR,theres Semaj Snow SR 5-11 205 big time hitter can play some RB too, and OLB Mel Washington 5-7 205 one of the strongest players in Shreveport back for his SR season too. The Defensive Line returns DE/OLB Adonnus Smith 6-2 230 SR and DE/OL Sterling Shephard 6-2 255. The Defensive Backfield will miss All State DB Brandon Henderson Jr, but returns talented CB Javion Armstrong had 3 interceptions in 2024 one went for a pick 6 TD in 2024, and also returning is leader hitter FS Kameron Jenkins 5-9 155 a leader with 4.5 speed, and a few younger players battling for the starting CB spots in 2025.

Special Teams will return Mel Washington to handle both Punting & Kicking duties.

Key players Graduated: SS/FS Denzel Kirkendoll, RB/OLB Caleb Jones, LB/FB Derrick Haynes, OL Caden Williams, CB/WR Randy Robinson, LSP/TE/DE Shelton Mateo Guerrrero, QB Quintarion Scott.

Team Outlook: The culture has improved a lot, and I hope that pays off for more wins in 2025. We still will have a small senior class in 2025. My first year we had 16 Freshman players, ay and going into my third year, all of those 16 players are with us, proud of that. We also have some younger platters coming up. My first senior class as a coach at Bossier HS will be in 20,25, said Head Coach Gary Smith.

Tidbits: I had a chance to visit with a lot of these players with coach Gary Smith at the school in 2024, and was very impressed with the players like coach Sa, many young players that are coming up for the Bearkats. Head Coach Smith loves his school; he is an alumnus of Bossier High School. Coach Smith did a great job for several years coaching as an assistant for Haughton High School.

The team will have a new starting QB, Quinton Hodge, 6-0, 170, who got some experience because of injuries to the position in 2024. The team has a chance to have a pretty good Offensive Line with leaders returning like OL Isaiah Cortez 6-3 305 SR,  OC/DT Sebastian Sifventez 5-10 230, OL/DL Kendrien Sims 6-3 320 SR leader, OT/OG LaMarcus Harris 6-3 280 SR, and new starter OL Germacio Adams 5-11 195.The WR position will have a chance to be strong overall for the team a led by returning starter Montrevell Lewis 4.59 speed, WR Jaylen James 2nd year starter, 5-8, 150,  WR Josiah Rachael 5-10, 160, and WR Mike Thomas 5-9, 145. The run game will have a lot of new faces, but the starter will be 2-way starter Dre Gates, 5-11, 1, 2nd year starter.

The Defense will return one of the leading tacklers from the 2024 season in LB Henricko R. Moise, 5-10, 185 SR, who had close to 80 tackles in 2024, a big-time leader and hitter for the team.
