The program has a good mix of athletes and really good linemen in Class 3A. The top athletes are three-year starter SS/RB Montrell Pye (5-8, 180, Sr.) who is an All-District performer, WR Antonio Fulton (5-8, 160), second-year starter WR Jamar Vickers (6-1, 180), WR Davion Thompson, who had 15 touchdowns and was All-District in 2022, WR Tylen Coleman (5-8, 165), RB Alfred Diddy Scott (5-3, 200), a human bowling ball with speed and 13 Touchdowns in 2022, already leading team in 2023 rushing, QB/WR Benjamin Anthony (6-2, 185), SS Myles Lewis (6-1, 170, Sr.), All-District QB Timothy Wynn (6-2, 175), new starter CB Kaleb Sterling (5-10, 170, Sr.), CB Gregory Milton (5-10, 165) and other young players mixed in to form a great group of athletes.

The program also has some quality linemen and linebackers led by OT Leonard Bermudez (6-2, 275, Sr.), OT/DE Alton Risin (6-2, 265, Sr.), LB Kyree Gibson (5-9, 175, Sr.), MLB Eric Gooden, LB Warlanden Craig (5-10, 185, Sr.) and DE Dion Griffith (6-3, 230).

On special teams, the Wolves have two strong-footed kickers in Jhostin Solorzano (5-8, 150, Sr.), Punter/Kicker Angel Alvarez (5-10, 150, Sr.), and there’s Jse Pastor who also has a strong leg as a Punter.

I remember watching Coach Francis play in high school at Edna Karr High School where he was an All-District player (Class of 2011). Coach Francis also played football at Alcorn State.

Four players signed with Central Methodist University in Missouri from last year’s team: Trayion Day, Christian Tate, Kaleb Wynns and Kenyon Johnson.
