2022 Playoffs: Lost to Country Day School in 1st Round of Division III (Select) Playoffs

The Green Oaks Giants return a mix of experience and youth on both sides of the football to be a pretty good team in 2023 if they stay healthy overall. Green Oaks’ program will have a new head coach in James Bradford who was the team’s defensive coordinator the last two seasons

“We are looking to be competitive,” Bradford said. “We looked good in the spring game where we faced Woodlawn (Shreveport) & LaGrange HS. We are looking to make the playoffs again in 2023 and we have 42 to 50 players for the fall.”

The offense will return some really good athletes which include four-year starting QB Toboris Lee (6-1, 200), who has seen the highs and lows since his freshman season. Lee has the experience and talent to lead this team to the playoffs again. The rest of the skill talent will be senior WR/DB Delarrious Marshall (5-9, 170) who was All-District in 2022 and has 4.6 speed, RB/CB Toryun Ellis a three-year starter with 4.4 speed will be back at some point in 2023 recovering from a injury a great player, senior WR/CB/RB A’Marion Dorsey (5-6, 165) who runs a 10.9 100 meters in Track, RB Tony Johnson (4.45 speed), WR/DB Brannon Shine 5-9 155 4.5 speed, and TE/FB Zachon Miller 6-0 225 SR sat out 2022 and back for his SR season.

The offensive & defensive Lineman for this program will mostly be two-way starters led by senior OL/DL Keven Richardson (5-10, 295) who is a three-year starter and a leader on the team, OT/DT Jamari Coleman (6-6, 315), DE/OLB Keyshawn Williams (5-11, 195), OL Lloyd Frazier (5-10, 240) and DE/OLB Adrian Carter will rotate in. More defensive players who will start are OLB/MLB Corzavion Tucker (6-0, 170, 4.5 speed), MLB/FB Drayden Thomas (5-11, 210) and FS Cortaveus Dorsey (6-0, 170) who is a leader in the secondary and a gifted athlete.

The special teams going into the fall are wide open and spots are up for grabs kicker and punter.

Coach Bradford is a graduate of C.E. Byrd HS (Class of 2001). Coach Bradford is also the team’s track and field coach for Green Oaks HS. Former Giants player WR/DB DeColdest Crawford, who had signed with Nebraska in 2022, is now with Louisiana Tech.
