Class 2026 Recruit: Roman Ciro Larre, Jesuit High School.

One of the top sleeper Wide Receivers in the Class of '26 in Louisiana would be Roman Ciro Larre of Jesuit High School in New Orleans. I had a chance to scout this kid on full game tape, a couple of games in 2024, his junior year, and came away impressed with his speed, route running, and hands. I actually saw Larre play his Soph year in 2023, and even then, he showed good hands and speed (looks faster than his forty time has football speed in full pads) at 6-2 in height and 178 pounds currently.

This is the type of kid I see being 6-2 195 once filled out completely after 2 years in college still running well and doing great things in college because he is also tough for his size currently  I call Athletic lean and once he gets bigger on his frame he will be tough to cover because of his smooth speed and hands in the open field for college. Larre is also a really good student in the classroom with a GPA of 2.87 and an ACT Score of 26 currently. That GPA would be in the 3.8 or better at some schools, but Jesuit is a strong academic school with many tough college-type classes. Larre is also a very good Baseball player at Jesuit High School.

Quotes below from Roman Ciro Larre.

To begin, being a Jesuit High School student is first described best in our motto, “men for others,” from day one of the 8th grade till death. I imagine no other school matches our academic and spiritual discipline. There is a daily demand for excellence from the simplest things, such as getting your hair the right length, maintaining proper uniform, to community service, and challenging studies such as Latin. It seems like you will never get out of the 8th grade alive until you realize you are now a senior, a young man of faith. Each day at Jesuit HS is a day more than just a class; you experience spiritual formation, community, education, and chances to serve all before getting to the afternoon practice.

Head Coach Ryan Manale’s process of developing greatness in his players on and off the field does not make your day any easier, just fulfilling. In fact, I may not understand what he has installed in me till later in life, but I am grateful. If your survive Jesuit High School till Friday Night, when you run onto the field in our traditional blue or white uniform win or lose the game you feel a spirit of the men, that you see daily on the walls, that came before you and the struggling Freshman inspiring to be you come together  as one Jesuit BlueJay you will then understand what Jesuit High School and it’s football program means to you.I just cannot explain it to someone who has not gone through the Jesuit school.I wish I could but that’s what makes being a Jesuit BlueJay so special, the mystique.

I think our Wide Receiver room at Jesuit is one of the best in the state. We are youghfully talented. Patrick Talbot and I serve as senior leaders,  you must prepare to cover all of us on the field.  Regardless of the class, we work very well together as a unit. I bring the experience, while Burks brings speed. Neff and Mestayer are the underclassmen's names you will know by season’s end. The biggest improvement is blocking under the new Offensive Coordinator, Andry.  Additionally, Coach Manale’s new offseason programm forced us to grow tougher together through hard work on the road in unbearable Summer heat.

Recruiting has been a rollercoaster.  I have heard a lot about the transfer portal, so I am watching and waiting to see how that develops. Several colleges have told me that if it weren’t for the portal,  I would already have an offer,  but I remain on their radar. The process has been frustrating, motivating, educational, and spiritual.

I have taken visits to ULL and Southeastern this past Summer, right after this past 2024 football season, before Baseball season. Once Baseball started, it became difficult to make visits, although coaches did come to meet with me.

I choose not to take part in Baseball this Summer with Legion Baseball to concentrate on football visits, which has been challenging to balance alongside school and Baseball. My father and I embarked on a once-in-a-lifetime road trip this past Summer to maximize visits over 6 days up the East Coast. I worked out during visits to Furman and Samford University, while meeting with West Florida, Wofford, and Huntingdon College. It was our 1st trip to South Carolina, what a beautiful state. Schools that have shown interest or invited me to camps are Cornell, Southeastern, Samford, North Texas, ULL, Furman, Huntingdon College, Louisiana Christian,  West Florida, North Texas, Harding U, and Ave Maria U.I was unable to visit Cornell, Harding, and North Texas, said Roman Ciro Larre.”
