Recruiting Spotlight: Brandon Craig, RB, Haughton High School, Haughton, Louisiana

Running back Brandon Craig of Haughton High School is a sleeper prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 5’8’’ and weighing 165 pounds, Craig can play both running back and wide receiver for his team’s offense.

Craig put together an elite junior season, recording 2700 all-purpose yards with 27 touchdowns. Craig also broke his school’s record for the longest touchdown and tied the record for the most touchdowns in one game.

‍

According to Lee Brecheen, Craig is one of the most slept-on recruits in the state of Louisiana.

‍

“He’s one of the biggest sleeper running backs I saw play last year. He’s got Division I talent,” said  Brecheen.

‍

Craig spoke on what he likes about playing football for Haughton High School.

‍

“I like playing football for Haughton High School because we came a long way as a team. Our record wasn’t that good last year, but that brought us closer. It made us more eager to win,” said Craig.

‍

Craig does not currently hold any offers, but he is interested in attending either Ole Miss or Lamar University.

‍

Athletics are common in Craig’s family. His mother ran track in high school, and his father played football at the semi-pro level.
