Recruiting Spotlight: Breez Wilson, Quarterback, Chalmette High School, Chalmette, Louisiana

Quarterback Breez Wilson of Chalmette High School is a tough prospect in Louisiana’s Class of 2027. Standing at 5’10’’ and weighing 180 pounds, Wilson has the skills to play college football if given the opportunity.

‍

Wilson put together an impressive junior season, recording over 1,400 passing yards with 19 passing touchdowns and over 700 rushing yards with 10 rushing touchdowns. Wilson continues to improve each year as he gets more comfortable starting at quarterback.

‍

According to Lee Brecheen, Wilson is a tough competitor who will do whatever is asked of him.

‍

“He’s a 3-year starter, leader, and he competes. He’s a tough kid,” said Brecheen. 

‍

In the classroom, Wilson maintains a 3.1 GPA, showing a strong commitment to his academics as well.

‍

Wilson spoke on what playing for Chalmette High School means to him.

‍

“Playing for Chalmette High School has always been a dream of mine when I was younger. The coaches here at Chalmette care about our futures and help us be the best on the field and off the field,” said Brecheen.

‍

Wilson currently has one offer from Louisiana Christian University, but he is also getting looks from Central Arkansas and Lyons College. He also went to six camps this summer at TCU, Central Arkansas, Southeastern, Southern Mississippi, Nicholls, Louisiana Christian Community, and All-American Showcase in Houston.
