Class 2026
Linebacker
Back in June of this year I was able to talk over the phone with Brother Martin High School head coach Mark Bonis and he mentioned a Linebacker he had coming back with 4.51 speed in the forty named Jacques Airhart, and so I wanted to go see this kid play in person in 2025 to see if this was someone that was a DI sleeper or not. Well, I did go see this kid play week 1 against a very talented East Ascension High School, and left the game sold that this kid not only runs a 4.51 in the forty but he is a big time football player.
These are the type of kids getting lost in recruiting from the big colleges, not going to games and scouting like the old days before the portal. This kid has football instincts you can't coach, and he gets to the ball and explodes every play with energy at 6-0, 205 pounds. He reminds me of a friend of mine who played undersized but wasn’t as fast from the West Bank of New Orleans, Ron Sancho, who played at Archbishop Shaw High School and was an All-SEC Linebacker for LSU, a leader, and played in the NFL for the Denver Broncos. Ron was a little taller, 6-2, but wasn’t much heavier than Airhart in high school and had the same type of energy and drive to become great. If I were a DI college coach, I would sign this kid and know he will have a chance to lead by Defense one day and be a tackling machine. He can play all 3 Linebacker spots on the field. I also saw him pancake a 6-6 300 300-pound Offensive Lineman in the East Ascension game, which was pretty impressive. In the classroom, Jacques carries a 3.7 GPA and has an ACT Score of 24. Not only is he fast, but he also has a Vertical Jump of 36.3.

Here are some quotes from Jacques Airhart.
Playing for Brother Martin High School personally is very exciting. We have a lot of talent everywhere around the field. Our coaches really want to see us succeed and to give us all the resources so that we can be the best versions of ourselves. We are a close group on Defense and have been stacking good days on good days, and I am very excited to see what we can do in the District play soon.
I like to compare my skills to a player like Micah Parsons now with the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. He is a very versatile player and can play all over the Defense. I play all over on our Defense and like to be moved around. I play Defensive End, Inside Linebacker, and Outside Linebacker. I use my speed to my advantage most of the time and really try to utilize that aspect of my game the most.
My first offer was from Ave Maria University, Centenary College, and Millsaps College. I have other schools talking to me, and I did take in a game day visit to Nicholls State recently said Jacques Airhart.”
