Class 2026 Recruit Kicker Jaco Li, Pineville High School.

By Lee Brecheen

One position that is one of the most important in college football is Special Teams Kickers, Punters, Long Snappers, and Short Snappers. These are positions where I think college coaches under-recruit the roster some in numbers, because of room on the roster for those spots.

Today, we will talk about a young man, a Kicker from Pineville High School, who is a rare 4-year starter in Class 5A football and a sleeper for college. His name is Jaco Li, Pineville High School. Jaco does something that some DI Kickers don’t, and he’s consistent, kicking Field Goals and Extra Points in High School. He likes some Kickers in high school, and gets better every year. Freshman year was 6/7 in extra points team did not score a lot of points that year, Soph year 13/17 extra points, Junior year got better was 15/23 in extra points but was 5/5 in Field Goals made perfect there and so far as a senior 1/1 in Field Goals,17/18 extra points and 11 touchbacks on Kickoffs with a 70 yarder being the longest on Kickoffs to the End Zone and beyond. Against Tioga High School, a rival game, he hit the game-winner Field Goal, and a recent game against New Iberia High School went 100% on Field Goals and extra points. Jaco is 5-9 in height and 160 pounds. In the classroom, he currently has a 3.0 GPA and an ACT Score of 20

Here are some Quotes from Jaco Li.

Pineville High School has been the best years of my life. I have seen some tough lows and some exciting highs, but I thought I had perseverance and had been able to stay focused. I have always tried to focus on what I can do and focus on making my kicks and hitting touchbacks on Kickoffs..Just doing everything I can to help my team. It has been great to be with my teammates every day. It has created a lot of amazing bonds with my teammates every day. Being on the team is an experience I will forever cherish.

Recruiting has been slow these past 4 years, but the other day I got my first game invite to UL in Lafayette, Louisiana. I am excited about that. My dream school is Penn State. I was born in Philadelphia, PA, and I grew up in Philly. I was always rooting for Penn State University. My brother played Soccer in High School, and so did I, but we were the only ones in the family to play sports. I am the first Kicker to play football in my family said Jaco Li.”
