Class 2026 Quarterback and Athlete Gavin Breaux, Sam Houston High School

One of the most underrated recruits in the Class of 2026 in Louisiana, in my opinion, Quarterback/Athlete Gavin Breaux from Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, right outside of the city of Lake Charles.

I was able to see a game this year of Sam Houston High School and was very impressed with this kid's ability to not only show speed at 6-1 in height and 215 pounds, but toughness to bring down with a good arm. Considering it is his 1^st year to be the full-time starting Quarterback, he has so much upside to fully blossom at the college level, either as a Quarterback or could play several positions in college because he is so gifted with a big frame and God given feet and speed to be a starter at the next level, either DI or IAA. Gavin hasn’t been timed in the forty for the 2025 season, but as coaches and I say after watching his film (the kid is fast, looks 4.6 in the forty or better with pads on).

Gavin also played baseball in his freshman and sophomore years in high school for Sam Houston, and played golf for his high school in 2024.

His dad played Quarterback back in the day for Vinton High School. Gavin also carries a 4.14 GPA and has an ACT Score of 3,2 in the incredible student-athlete.

“I’ve played quarterback most of my life, and I would say the running ability I have is natural as an Athlete football player. I think the one thing I need to work on is slowing the game down as a Quarterback.

Our head football coach, Chad Davis, is also the Offensive Coordinator. He is a great coach, and he designs a lot of great plays for us to be successful.

My favorite college team growing up was LSU, and my favorite Quarterback is former New England Patriots Hall of Famer Tom Brady.
