We have great kids here, and it’s been everything I expected and much more great environment and hard-working players in the program said Head Coach Aaron Vice.”

Coach Vice also coached at Central High School under the then Head Coach Sid Edwards, and now the Mayor of Baton Rouge.
The program, for the first time in 2 years, will have a new Quarterback. Newman High School is known for Quarterbacks with the Mannings, recently Eli Friend, and several others who have gone to college. This year in 2025, they will have 2 young and talented QBs who will battle all Summer and through early Fall, and maybe even through the season in Ren Guidry 6-1 160, and QB Jalen Hunter 5-11 160. Both kids have a great skill set and should be fun to watch these kids for the next few years get bigger and stronger. The good news is the Offense does return some experienced leaders at WR in SR 3-year starter George Loop, 5-11 185, All District in 2024, big-time hands and playmaker for the program as a 3-year starter in 2025. If you appreciate tough football, high effort, determined, and you watched a game of South Plaquemines High School then you would be like me all the respect in the world for a program playing 15 games in 2025 with mostly 15 to 18 players and you will not find many teams that could do it at the highest level in what i would call Iron Man shape as a team only way for me to describe it.
