Team Outlook: We built a lot of character by going through the tough season in 2024. The 2024 team was made up of mostly So’s. Kids fought hard and competed in 2024, so I was still proud of their effort for last season. We have 52 players for Spring and should be up to 70 once fall comes around, and dress on varsity about 50 players said Head Coach Jonathan Zenon.”
Tidbits: Head Coach Jonathan Zenon is famous for sealing LSU SEC Championship win against Tennessee in 2007 with interception late in the game with LSU trailing with 9:54 seconds left in the game returned the Interception for a Touchdown to send LSU to the National Championship game they would win over Ohio State U.Coach Zenon i was able to see play in high school for Breaux Bridge High School where he excelled also in Track.

Team Outlook: It always helps to have your starting QB back. This Spring, we were working on the right pieces to surround our talented QB for this coming Fall season. I think the strength of our team will be our Defense with 7 starters back. We feel like the strongest position on our team will be our returning Defensive Backs said Head Coach Eric Leblanc.”
Tidbits: Head Coach Eric Leblanc and his staff do a great job in developing players every year. This Spring, they held the annual Blue-White game, an intrasquad game among the team, and the coach was pleased with the team this Spring, too. The team also returns 4 senior Offensive Linemen on Offense. I was able to attend the Spring game and came away super impressed. The entire community comes out to support the Spring game. There was a live game feel to the Spring game that’s much support this team has in their town.
The Offense and team will go as QB Jack Landry 6-4 195. Landry threw for over 1,300 yards in 2024 with 12 touchdown passes and ran for 250 yards and 1 touchdown. This kid was Hon Mention All State in 2024, and MVP of the Offensive All District team as a QB in 2024. If the Bobcats can protect him, they should have a really good year in 2025. The Offensive Line returns 4 starters in OL/DE Kaiden Viator 6-0 220 All District in 2024 as both an Offensive Lineman & Defensive Lineman, OG/DT Jayden Bagley 5-9 255, OT/DT Zachary Broussard 5-10 205 SR, and OG Cohen Benoit 5-10 225 SR. Kaplan Pirates
Head Coach:Tank Lotief(2nd year)
2024 Record:8-3
2024 Playoffs:2nd Round lost to Pine HS
2023 Record:7-4
Key players Graduated: RB/LB Dane Frick 2024 District Defensive MVP,, DE/TE Carter Petry, RB/LB Braden Bearb, OL/LB Hayes Broussard, TE/DE Nemy Broussard, LB/RB Wyatt Hebert, Athlete/DB Coy Terro, OL Wyatt Bourque, DB Gunnar Bourque, RB Daylon Landry, OL Zach Marceaux.
Team Outlook: Lost a lot of talent from the 2024 team. Those kids played a ton of football. 13 seniors graduated, most of them were starters or played for us. We have players coming back, but most of those kids did not get experience last year. We will only have a total of 10 legit linemen in the program in 2025, so we will have to move some kids around to have depth there, too said Head Coach Tank Lotief.”
Tidbits: Head Coach Tank Lotief is in his 2nd year in the program, but it’s his second time as the Head Coach at Kaplan; the first time was 11 years as the Head Coach through 2020, and then came back in 2024. Coach Lotief is one of the best in the business in the run game game old smash mouth football right at you, and 2025 will not change much from that.
The Offense has several players who are going to get there chance to run the football in 2025 and here’s some of the players to keep a eye on RB/LB De’Maurion Cormier 5-10 200 2nd year starter, RB/DB Javante Mouton 5-11 180 2nd year starter, RB/OLB/DE All District in 2024 Taven Housend 5-9 172, FB/MLB Jacob Devoltz 6-1 215 a 3 year starter leader in the program, RB Mathiew Breaux 5-7 175, RB/DB Hunter Packard 5-7 135, and OL/DL/RB Jayden Broussard 5-10 195 has 4.65 speed in the forty. The Offense will return leader Sabe David at QB 5-9 185, a 3-year starter, All District in 2024, with really good speed and tough to tackle. The trenches will be led by All District in 2024, Kevin Small, 6-0 225, both OL/DL,2nd Team All District in 2024 OL/DL Keiton Milton, 5-10 240 SR, and OL/DL Carter Hebert, 6-5 340, 2nd year starter.

St. Martinville Tigers
Head Coach:Garrett Kreamer(1st year)
2024 Record:2-7
2024 Playoffs: No

Team Outlook: Trying to build hard hard-working culture and leadership. We need to play for one another, the name on the Jersey at St.Martinville High School said Head Coach Garrett Kreamer.”
Tidbits: New Head Coach Garrett Kreamer has a lot of experience as a coach in a short time. Coach Kreamer was the head coach for Patterson High School in 2021 and 2022. Also, head coach for Lafayette High School from 2023 to most recently 2024. I think this will be a great hire, and I think Coach will keep the tradition going and continue what Head Coach Vincent DeRouen built and the great job he did with the program from 2014 to 2024. Coach Kreamer also made a hire with one new coach, Taylor Latioloa, who was the Offensive Line coach at Comeaux High School. Comeaux High School is the school coach Kreamer graduated from in 2009.
St. Martinville has some talent, and they will be a sleeper team in 2025. I like some of the older talent coming back, and if the younger kids can grow up fast on varsity, it could be a really good year in 2025. Some of the players coming back with experience are CB/WR/RB Kylun Skipper 5-8 150 a 3 year starter, SS/OLB Payton Nelson 5-7 150 a 4 year starter, OLB/TE/RB Kohen Clues 6-1 200 a 3 year starter i think a big time player, DE/OL Christian Cleary 6-0 210 a 3 year starter, Bobby Harris OL/DT 6-2 300 a 3 year starter, QB Kyrie Francisco 6-1 200 a 2nd year starter QB and a 3 year starter overall big time Athlete i have seen in person,2024 All District Defensive Back RB/SS/TE Zyrian Johnson 5-11 185 a sleeper 2nd year starter tough kid, RB Julien Stewart 5-10 190 has 2 years experience up coming, OL/DT Kendrick Toussant 6-0 305 a 2nd year starter, WR/FS K.J Fontenette 5-10 170 a 2nd year starter, OC/OL Sam Coleman 5-11 250 a 2nd year starter, and 2024 All District WR Jamion James 5-8 150 a playmaker and a 2nd year starter.
More players to keep an eye on competing for starting jobs and playing time are CB Christian Gedward 5-7 150, OL/DL Dixon Aymond, DB Myles Martin 5-9 150, DB Darrell Harris 5-9 160, OL/DL Torien Hebert 5-8 200, and DE Eric Mitchell 5-10 205.
Special Teams, you have Kicker/Punter Logan Bienvenu 5-6 145, and Long Snapper Rylin Savoy 5-9 160, a new starter. The return game also has back 2024 All District Kick Returner Jamion James.
