As the month of June approaches, so does football season. As it is every other day here at Louisiana Football Magazine, it has been pretty busy especially over the last two months when we have conducted our Louisiana Football Magazine photo shoots over that time period. We have finished our 23rd annual magazine cover shoot, but this year will mark the third straight year in which we have conducted both a North and South photo shoot. This year, we shot the North photo shoot at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and we shot the South photo shoot at Catholic High School in Baton Rouge. Both events were really successful, and we would like to thank everybody who has helped us make both events so special for the players that were involved. Besides taking the photos, Louisiana Football Magazine’s owner Lee Brecheen and editor Jace LeJeune got the chance to talk to some of the top Class of 2020 players in the state of the Louisiana. Both Brecheen and LeJeune talked to the recruits about their top schools, goals for the upcoming season, hobbies, and so much more. For the next couple of weeks, we will post these video interviews that were taken at both photoshoot events!

In today’s recruit interview, we go to Catholic High School where Brecheen went one on one with LSU commit Jalen Lee from Live Oak High School!

Jalen Lee: In a year full of great defensive linemen, Live Oak senior DT Jalen Lee is one of the best in the state of Louisiana. At 6-3, 285 pounds, Lee is a man among boys. LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron has made it evident that they need to get better defensive linemen, and today, they got a big present in Lee, who announced that he was going to commit to play for the Tigers. The four star prospect chose to commit to LSU over other DI teams including South Alabama, Louisiana Tech, Tulane, ULL, Southern Miss, Houston, ULM, Florida, Kansas, Tennessee, Colorado, Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss.  The star Live Oak prospect stated that he wants to come to LSU to compete for championships. Well, if he and some of his close in-state defensive line buddies Jacobian Guillory, Jaquelin Roy, and others sign their letter of intent with the Tigers, then, that goal will become a reality.

Before Jalen Lee made his announcement, Louisiana Football Magazine’s Lee Brecheen went one on one with the Live Oak defensive lineman at our South Magazine cover photoshoot to talk about the upcoming season, the LSU Tigers, and much more! Click the link below to check out the interview!

After watching all these interviews, if you are wondering about when both our North and South magazines will be released, it will be some time in August before the magazines will be distributed. However, do not worry as if you pre-order your copies below, you will receive your copies once the magazines are ready to be released!
