The Undefeated Lakeshore Titans Ride Their Eleven Game Winning Streak In The Class 4A Playoffs

Lakeshore High School in Mandeville, LA continues their football season undefeated while advancing into the second round of playoffs. Although the team has shown excellence in skills throughout the season, it’s no question that the team does face pressure.

Senior Zachary Bernard explains how the team handles the expectation of staying undefeated and winning a state championship.

“We handle this by taking things one game at a time and focusing on the team we are currently playing and no one else,” Bernard said.

“Our team has shown many times that we have the talent to make nothing into something whether it is turn a five yard or even a busted play into a touchdown,” senior wide receiver Spencer Jordan said.

This ability has led them to excel in playoffs. Bernard adds the team’s diversity helps them defeat their opponents.

“Our offense has an established power running game and our defense has the ability to hold some of the top running backs in the state to small runs while our defensive backs can hang with the best wide receivers in state,” he said. “It makes it extremely hard to consistently score on us.”

Bernard and Jordan added that teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and hard-work are lessons that they have learned in football and can apply to their everyday life.

The Lakeshore Titans will go against the Leesville Wampus Cats on November 22, 2019 for the second round of the Class 4A playoffs.

Alexis Mason is a Maryland native, but went to high school in Atlanta. She is a junior studying Sports Administration at LSU. Her future plan is to own a recruiting program that helps high school athletes receive college scholarships. Her ultimate goal in life is to help others and to make their life just a little easier any way possible. She is a big believer of having faith and knowing that every obstacle that comes in life is there for a reason and can be tackled.
