The Sports Scouting Report Podcast With Lee Brecheen Episode 53: LSU Star Wide Receiver Ja’Marr Chase Opting Out To Play, Thoughts on 1st College Football Game Of 2020, Ben Braymer Latest To Join MLB Ranks From Catholic High, and LSU Gets New Commitment
by Jace LeJeune
For Monday’s episode of the Sports Scouting Report, Lee gives his initial reaction to reports of LSU star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase opting out to play in 2020 and what that means for the Tigers this season. The first game of the college football season was played this past Saturday between FCS powers Central Arkansas and Austin Peay. Lee gives his thoughts on the game and why the game was a positive sign for the upcoming college football season. Also, the Catholic High School (Baton Rouge) baseball tradition continues with another former Grizzly great joining the Major League ranks with Ben Braymer making his debut with the Washington Nationals. Lee talks about his relationship with the Braymer family and how he helped make Ben’s highlight tape for football before making his mind up to play baseball. Finally, despite a tough weekend for the Bayou Bengals with the loss of arguably its best player, LSU did get a commitment from Westlake (Atlanta) cornerback Nate Wiggins. Lee gives his thoughts on what kind of player Ed Orgeron and his staff will be getting next year.
