The South Lafourche Tarpons key offensive tackle, Jack Chiasson, is one to watch for this season. Chiasson, 6’5, 250 pounds has the perfect stature for a collegiate offensive tackle.
“Jack is a late bloomer and has a lot of room to grow to fill out,” said scouting expert Lee Breecheen.
His grit on and off the field is what sets him apart from the other offensive tackles on the field. Just taking a look at his highlights from the 2021 season shows his strength and the toughness he puts into every game.
Chaisson has been talking to several colleges such as Louisiana Christian College, Lyon College in Arkansas and has received an offer from Coach Pruitt at The University of Arkansas at Monticello. When it comes to his favorite college football teams, Chaisson said in no specific order he loves LSU, Nicholls, Arkansas at Monticello and University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Aside from football, Chiasson is an all around great athlete; he excels on the soccer and baseball fields. When asked what it’s like to play for the Tarpons, Chaisson said it’s like being a part of another family and the South Lafourche community never gives up on their team.
In the weight room his max squat is 295 pounds. His upcoming senior season is definitely one to look out for.
“I am looking forward to the upcoming season and am excited to see what is next,” said Chaisson.
