The Morgan City Tigers are off to a solid season, going 4-4 in 2023 so far. This is a significant improvement from the team’s 2022 record of 0-9. This is in no small part thanks to the work of OL/DL Ian Carmichael.
“I am incredibly proud of my team for changing the culture of the program…” said Carmichael. “… playing with passion and heart even in the face of defeat.”
Carmichael is a sleeper recruiting pick-up. He has received an offer from Louisiana Christian University.
Carmichael is currently looking to attend one of a few colleges including Nicholls, UL, and Louisiana Christian University and to major in nursing. “I do want to play at the next level because it has been a dream of mine since I was first introduced to the game.” said Carmichael.
“Playing for Morgan City is like coming back to live in your town after a big storm.” said Carmichael. “It’s challenging because we are rebuilding but it’s starting to become easier as the team is trending in the right direction.”
