Minden Linebacker Cameron Morgan is what every team needs in a middle linebacker. He takes control of the defense and he is tough to block. Just ask fullbacks and guards. He goes from sideline and he can lay the wood and hit you hard. Meet Cameron in today’s recruiting interview.

Cameron Morgan, 17, MLB
LAFM: What is your height and weight?
5″11 238
LAFM: What is your 40 yard dash, max bench press, and squat?
4.70, 405 lbs, 585 lbs
LAFM: What did the team do last year? How far did the team go in the playoffs?
We did real good. We only lost 2 games including playoffs and we made it to the 2nd round.
LAFM: What are your team goals this year?
Our goals this year is to just be better mentally and physically than last year.
LAFM: What are your individual goals this year?
My goals this year is just to become bigger, faster, and stronger day by day.
LAFM: How many offers did you get and by whom?
Have no offers at the moment but anything good is always worth waiting for.
LAFM: What was your favorite college visit so far and why?
My favorite college visit was to Mississippi State and LSU.
LAFM: How has the recruiting process been for you?
The recruiting process has been wonderful.
LAFM: What advice would you give to a younger player on how to deal with the recruiting process?
My advice would be just to enjoy it and not look to get offered right away.
LAFM: What are the best parts about your game?
The best part about my game is doing whatever it takes to win that game and also handling my business on defense.
LAFM: What are things that you need to improve on from last year?
Things I need to improve on is quickness and not over running the play.
LAFM: Which team in your district is going to be the toughest to beat and why?
No team will be the toughest as long as you take care of business that week before Friday and everything else will fall in place.
LAFM: What is your favorite part about football?
My favorite part about football is the contact.
LAFM: What is something interesting about yourself that everybody else doesn’t know about?
I can rip any size phone book down the middle.
LAFM: What player do you model yourself after and why?
I don’t really model myself after players, I just take the best advice the people I look up to give me and apply it to life and football. But my favorite player is Tom Brady.
LAFM: What is it about a quarterback like Tom Brady that you like so much?
His work ethic and how he handles himself off the field

My personality and the way I handle myself in the classroom, on the field, and off.
LAFM: Do you have any family members that played high school, college, or even pro ball?
I have one family member (Aldrick Morgan) that played high school football. The others were stars at other sports besides football.
