We don’t have a Special Teams Player of the Year award, but if we did, Ponchatoula Kicker/Punter Carson Wyld would definitely be a strong candidate.
Recruit Spotlight: DE/DT Phidarian Mathis, Neville
Neville High School has been one of the most dominating programs in Louisiana High School football for such a longtime due to great coaching and the many talented players that have gone through the program each and every year. After a dominating defensive force like Rashard Lawrence graduates, a team would have trouble trying to find a guy that can replace a big time defensive lineman like Lawrence. Luckily, the Neville Tigers had Phidarian Mathis.
