Head coach Donald Williams who is in his first head coaching job is the current one with Plaquemine High School. Coach Williams was the strength and conditioning coach and the special teams for the last five years of the program. Nine starters will return from last year’s team as well.
The Green Devils are off to a great start with a 3-2 record. The Green Devils lost to an undefeated St. Michael team in one of the most anticipated games in Baton Rouge in the Baton Rouge area last Friday night but they should finish the season relatively strong despite the loss.
The skill spots have some special players back in WR/RB/DB Vincent Dawson (5-11, 165, Sr.), WR/DB Aidan Joseph (6-2, 185, Sr.) who is also on the All-State in track, WR/ATH J’Kolby McCoy (6-0, 190, Sr.) who has great hands and is a leader on this team, new starter CB/WR Demorion Buggs (5-11, 165, Sr.), CB/FS Landon Carter (6-0, 180) who had four interceptions in 2022, RB Tyrese Mosby (5-9, 185, 4.6 speed), All-District WR Dajon Beloney (5-10, 160, 4.45 speed) and new starting QB Nico Victorian (5-11, 160) who transferred to Plaquemine from Catholic (Baton Rouge).

On defense, the front seven is led by four-year starter OT Luke George (6-3, 255, Sr.), four-year starter OG/OC/DT Russell Johnson (6-0, 240), four-year starter MLB Diego Davis (6-1, 210, Sr.), DT/OL DeAndre Riley (5-11, 274) who is a tough kid, MLB/FB Parker Jackson (5-11, 200) who can squat 500 pounds and OLB Roderick Bingham (6-0, 170).
The special teams will have kicker Jo Jo Frazier (5-11, 160, Sr.) back for his senior year. CB/WR Demorion Buggs (5-11, 165, Sr.) will return kicks.
