2022 Playoffs: Lost to Cecilia High School 35-28 in 1st Round of Division II (Non-Select) Playoffs
New Franklinton High School head coach Nick Saltaformaggio won a State Title in 2013 at East Jefferson, took Hahnville in 2017 to the Dome in a state title game (Runner Up) and was recently head coach of Holy Cross High School in 2022. In 2023 the two losses the Demons had were decided by a combined 6 points from being undefeated on the young season.
The Demons have a 1-4 record on the young season. Two of their four losses were by five points or less. There is still time for the Demons to turn it around as they have the talent to do so.
The program never lacks skill or talent on both sides of the football and this year the team will count on players like QB Conner Magee, a great athlete, WR Micah Hart (6-0, 205), a 3-year starter with great hands, SS/FS Avery Brumfield (6-1, 165), HB/FB Amarie Conerly (6-2, 220, 4.65 speed), RB Rayshone Manuel (5-8, 168, Sr.), a strong player for his size, SS/OLB Christian Martin (6-0, 170, Sr.), a strong leader for the team and RB Sy Austin (5-11, 190) who has the power & speed to be good.
The program in the long run will be really good because they also have really good linemen in the program led by OG Kevion Ginn (6-0, 282, Sr.), a strong kid, OT/OG Beau Webb (6-4, 271), a tough kid, OT/OC Wyatt Seal (6-4, 240), OG David Moore (6-1, 270) and DT Landen Manuel (6-1, 250) who has really good feet and is tough.
