West Feliciana ATH Joel Rogers
“Although we have a lot of young players, I am really proud of how this team did this offseason,” said new West Feliciana head coach Devin Ducote. “These kids not only took on a new head coach but a new system as well and they have not missed a beat with their hard work. We do have a lot of senior leadership too. This is a close group of kids. I am very impressed with what I’m seeing from the Spring going into the Summer.”
Ducote graduated from Parkview Baptist in 2007 and played Football there as a strong safety. Coach Ducote was also a big part of Catholic (Baton Rouge)’s 2021 state title run under then-head coach David Simoneaux as an assistant coach. Simoneaux is now the Head Coach of Central High School.

West Feliciana RB Joe Johnson
West Feliciana won the State Title in 2017. Three key players graduated and signed from the 2022 team: four-year starter DE/LB Delvin Whittaker (Louisiana Tech), ATH Jeremy Fowler (Butler Junior College (KS)), and ATH Jontre Cummings (Arkansas-Monticello).
This program has a lot of talented players right now and it all starts with senior ATH Joel Rogers (6-0, 194). The LSU commit racked up 1,000 yards in both passing and rushing along with 24 total touchdowns in 2022. Rogers is a four-year starter for this program and again will line up everywhere to help this team win games. The offense also has two young QBs in Thomas Temple and Ryan Funderburke. They are both capable of getting their share of reps under center.
The run game has a big-time RB back in senior Joe Johnson (5-11, 210 pounds, 4.5 40) with power and speed. The run game also has senior Elstron Longs (5-11, 185), who has 4.45 speed and will play some OLB as well. When the Offense needs to throw it they have two talented kids back who also both start on defense in senior WR/SS Kamron Whittaker (6-1, 190) & WR/CB Adla “AD” Washington (6-0, 170) who has 4.5 speed.

OT Jaden Moore
The offensive line has experience and size in OT Jaden Moore (6-4, 280), who is known for making pancake blocks, senior center Hayden Travis (5-11, 200), OG/OT Ben Grantham (6-0, 275) and others making up a pretty good unit. The Saints will also have TE/HB Stuart Ralph (6-0, 210) and TE/HB Mason Rogillio (6-2, 195) helping clear holes for the backfield as well.

West Feliciana Adla “AD” Washington
The defensive line returns senior DE/DT Ted Jackson (6-1, 235) who is a three-year starter, and DE/NG Chris Turner (6-0, 245). The defensive backfield is led by senior SS/FS Desmond Roundtree (6-0, 180), DB Dimitris Hardy (5-9, 165) who has 4.6 speed and can play all 4 DB spots, CB Dedrick Davis, CB Jamari Mealey, and the talented Joel Rogers will be in at DB with his 4.45 speed.
The special teams will be led by Bruin Gilfoil, who handles the punting & kicking duties going into the fall. Not only does Gilfoil have a good leg, but he is also the starting LB and he goes all out every play.
