Rosepine RB/CB Landyn Lawrence
“Before I became the head coach, I had been the offensive coordinator for Rosepine HS for four years going back to 2019,” said new head coach Troy Gardner. “The last two years have been great as a program as we went to the quarterfinals back-to-back in 2021 and 2022. On offense we will run the RPO and be a run first team. We do throw the ball as a offense if needed. We don’t have the talent like we had the last two years but we have some depth to rotate some guys around in 2023 to stay fresh as a team.”
The Eagles will have to replace one of its best players ever in 2023 as they lost RB Grant Ducote to graduation. Ducote had over 5,000 yards in his career and 99 total touchdowns (92 of them rushing touchdowns) and was named to the All-State back-to-back in 2021 & 2022. The program also lost All-State LB/DE Michael Woods, who moved to Texas for his senior year of football.

Rosepine FB/MLB Lane Willis
The Eagles will rely on some talented skill players who play both sides of the football. QB Rowan Embrey is a poised QB back to lead this team, RB/LB Devin Janice (5-6 210) provides power and toughness and senior RB/CB Landyn Lawrence (5-11, 180, 4.65 forty) can do anything for this team. You also have senior FB/MLB Lane Willis (5-10, 215), second-year starting senior TE/DE Kobey Collins (6-2, 230), TE/WR Aidan Shell (6-2, 195) can run with hands and senior WR/CB Auston Thompson (5-8, 145) who has 4.55 speed and is a playmaker for the team.
The key lineman back for the Eagles is second-year starter senior OT/LB Gabryel Leslie (6-0, 215), fourth-year starting senior OT/DE Keyton Jackson (5-11, 210) who is a leader for the team and senior

Rosepine OG/DT Blaine Savoie
(6-1, 270) who is a three-year starter who has great feet and a big-time leader for this team.
Rosepine’s special teams returns punter Gabryel Leslie who is also the team’s starting offensive tackle and linebacker.
