Northwood (Lena) head coach Tommy Moore graduated from Northeast Lauderdale High School (Mississippi) in 1990. Moore started college at East Central Mississippi Junior College before graduating from Lambuth University. Before coaching the high school ranks he coached junior college football in Mississippi for 9 years.

“We are very young on both sides of the football,” Moore said. “However, we are hoping the experience some players got in 2022 will pay off. I still think we are a year away from where we need to be as a program. The only issue is that we did not have spring practice as a team this year.

There will be five key players that will lead this young program QB/DB A.J Butler (5-10, 145), senior leader OL/DL Jacob Skaggs (6-3, 275), who is a four-year starter on both sides of football, RB/DB Erijiah Green (5-9, 140), freshman RB/DB Kadorian Brown (5-9, 140) and senior TE/DE Khalil Page (5-11, 230).
