LAFM: For starters, what’s your current height, weight and forty time?
JC: I’m 5’10”, 205 and run a 4.79.
LAFM: Are you originally from Louisiana?
JC: No sir, I’m from New York – Long Island.
LAFM: Which teams did you root for growing up?
JC: Patriots. I didn’t follow that many college teams when I was young. I was just a big Patriots fan.
LAFM: When did you first start playing football?
JC: In third grade, I think I was nine.
LAFM: Has it always been a big part of your family? Have you had any family members who played football in the past?
JC: Yes sir, my brother played for Walker in 2003. And my older brother played in New York.
LAFM: Do you play any other sports?
JC: No sir, just football.
LAFM: Do you play any other positions besides safety?
JC: I play linebacker.
LAFM: If so, where do you see yourself being recruited?
JC: Linebacker.
LAFM: Is there anyone in college or the Pros that you look up to or try to model your game after?
JC: Ray Lewis – His intensity to the game, his love for the game and how he plays. He plays fast in everything which is the way a linebacker should play.
LAFM: What do you think is your biggest strength as a player and what part of your game are you trying to improve upon most this season?
JC: My biggest strength would have to be rushing the passer and the one thing I need to work on is covering.
LAFM: Have you been to any camps at this point? If so, which ones?
JC: I went to a Louisiana Tech camp this summer and the National Underclassmen Combine.
LAFM: Which colleges have you received offers from?
JC: No sir.
LAFM: Which schools stick out right now at the top of your list? Is playing close to home a big factor in your recruitment?
JC: South Alabama – Right now it’s still a growing program but it’s going to the Sun Belt Conference and I basically see it on the rise.
LAFM: Have you thought about what you might want to study in college?
JC: Sports medicine.
LAFM: What are some goals you’ve set for next season for yourself?
JC: I want to have 10 sacks and over 70 tackles.
LAFM: And for the team?
JC: State championship.
LAFM: Which school is your favorite to play against, or which game gets you the most fired up each year?
JC: Shaw – It makes it fun for me because I was at Shaw my freshman year and we lost to Belle Chasse. So it me it’s a big game because I go back against my old coach and former players.
LAFM: What are some of the most memorable games or plays you’ve been a part of?
JC: It would have to be South Plaquemine game of last year because it was my first time starting.
LAFM: And lastly can you give us your current GPA and ACT score?
JC: 2.75 and an 18.
