May 9, 2011 - I had a chance to talk to current head football coach Paul Broussard of Breaux Bridge High School and he told me that 2011 recruit Quentin Thomas has fully qualified to enroll this fall at LSU. Quentin Thomas sat out this past season at Breaux Bridge. I asked coach about Quentin’s size since the season and he said, “He’s about 6-3 still, and about 285 to 290 in weight right now.”
This kid is one of the best looking Defensive Line signees that you will ever see in a uniform. I love his upside, and I feel from watching him play he hasn’t hit his potential yet as a player. I look for him to be able to play either Defensive Tackle or Defensive End at LSU. He might need to get back to his senior weight of 265 to be a Defensive End at LSU. I would not be surprised if he redshirts this season at LSU to be ready for 2012 season.

I also found out that 2012 class LSU Commit Lamar Louis (RB/SS/LB for college), has transferred back to Breaux Bridge High School from Teurlings Catholic High School. Lamar also sat out the 2010 season at Breaux Bridge High School and will be one of the top athletes in Louisiana going into the 2011 season.
Coach Broussard also told me about another former Breaux Bridge player who played for LSU. He said, “Lee, former LSU Defensive Back and Breaux Bridge player Jesse Daniels will be helping coach Defensive Backs at Breaux Bridge this year. This will be his first year to coach at his former high school. Jesse played Strong Safety for LSU with another former Breaux Bridge player Jonathan Zenon, who will always be remembered for his interception against Tennessee in the SEC Championship game to give LSU a victory to go on and win the National Championship against Ohio State in 2007.”
