Jonathan Tyson (6-1, 240) West Monroe

February 21, 2011 - Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, has hit two home runs, by signing two of Louisiana’s best prospects for 2011 class. One is RB Herdurius Scott (6-1, 230 pounds) of Wossman, who was as good as any back I saw in 2011 including Kenny Hilliard, Jeremy Hill and Terrance Magee. The other is MLB Jonathan Tyson (6-1, 240 pounds) from West Monroe High School.

Herdurius Scott has a rare combination of power and speed, when running up hill and over anyone. This kid runs a true 4.5/40 at 230 pounds, and looks faster in football pads. Scott, to me, is the best big back to come out of north Louisiana since Roosevelt Potts who was 6-1, 245, and played a few years in the NFL and Northeast College in Monroe (which is now the ULM Warhawks).

LB Jonathan Tyson at 6-1, 240 runs a 4.7/40 and plays the game as a force in the middle, and can run sideline to sideline. Tyson has one of those Six Foot One Ray Lewis type of builds with all muscle and wide shoulders.

Both of these kids in my opinion from seeing them on tape and in person, are national top 100 recruits and in two years you will hear about them again in recruiting.
