| Cameron Firnberg |
January 24, 2011 - QB Cameron Firnberg is an interesting QB prospect who missed his sophomore and junior seasons because of an injury. He played really well this past 2010 season in a wide open spread offense. He’s completely healed from a broken ankle he suffered at a camp two years ago.
I had a chance to sit down with Cameron and his dad and talk recruiting this past week.
“LSU is my childhood favorite school growing up. My dad went to University High in Baton Rouge, and the schools recruiting me right now are Louisiana College and Hardin Simmons,” said Firnberg.
Cameron had 1,900 yards passing with 17 touchdowns for 2010 in his senior season. What I like most about Cameron is he’s worked out and learned the game from ex Northwestern and LSU QB Craig Nall during the off seasons.
This kid has a quick release and great touch on the football. Cameron Stands all of 6-3 and weighs a lean 205 pounds. I know he loves ULL college in Lafayette also, and would like to get a shot IAA or DI in the end. He’s the poster boy for being a sleeper QB for the next level. This kid just played one year of high school football to show what he can do.
