January 4, 2011 - WR Jermaine Sams from St. Paul's School has recently committed to Southern Methodist University. I spoke with Sams yesterday afternoon and asked him what he liked best about SMU, and he said,"I like their offense. They throw the ball a lot which is good for me because I'm a receiver." He also said that the coaches are all great and that the school provides a good family environment. Sams is 5-11, 193 pounds and runs a 4.45/40. In the weight room he benches 275, squats 400, and cleans 235. Sam finished this past season with 39 catches for 720 yards, 6 receiving touchdowns, and over 400 kick return yards and 1 touchdown. I asked Sams what he felt his biggest strength was at his position and he said,"My ability to catch the ball and make a big play."
