December 27, 2010 - DE/LB Juwan Span from Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge is getting a few looks from colleges around the state. Southern, McNeese State, and Southeastern are interested in Span and have come for visits, but none have offered yet. Span plans to visit Southeastern a week after school starts. Span is 6-2, 225 pounds, and he runs a 4.6/40. He benches 285, squats 585, and cleans 290. In the classroom, Span carries a 2.9 GPA, and has a 17 on the ACT. When I asked Span about his stats from this past season he said, "I had 72 tackles, 1 interception, 5 forced fumbles, and 8 fumble recoveries." Spans top colleges are Ohio State, Mississippi State, and LSU.
