December 21, 2010 - WR Derek Howard from Hahnville High School is well on his way to play football at the next level. I spoke to Howard yesterday afternoon and learned that he's currently committed to the University of Memphis and is going to visit on January 14th. Howard is 6-2, 195, and runs a 4.5/40. He benches 280, squats 405, and cleans 225. He finished this season with an impressive 37 catches for 505 yards and 5 touchdowns. Howard also does well in the classroom with a 2.7 GPA.
