December 3, 2010 - Some kids grow up where their dad is a High School football coach, and they have to go where dad gets his jobs to coach or play at a school nearby. That’s the point and case with Tyler. His dad Dwayne Severio, is a football coach at Bastrop High School, and the Defensive Coordinator for them. As a freshman Tyler went to Varnado and Walker High School, as a sophomore he went to Sterlington High School, and as a Junior and current Senior, Bastrop High School.
Tyler was a QB as a freshman, a Tight End as a sophomore and junior, and is currently a Defensive End for the first time. Tyler did pretty good with 41 tackles and 3 Sacks for the season. Tyler is 6-4, 210 pounds, and carries a 3.1 GPA and a 21 ACT in the class room. His best games were 8 tackles against Ruston and 9 tackles against O.P. Walker in the playoffs.
Tyler is getting interest from many DIV 2 and 3 schools and some NAIA schools like Ouachita Baptist. This is a kid that would make a very good D2 or D3 player and will be in the 230 range in two years, and could move back to TE in college.
