November 25, 2010 - One of the hottest Defensive players in Louisiana for the 2011 class, who’s being overlooked by a lot of big schools, is Strong Safety Dionte McDuffy of Evangel Christian High School. Check these stats out for the 2010 season: 67 tackles, 6 Interceptions, 2 Interceptions for TDs, 2 Fumble Recoveries, 12 Forced Fumbles, and 470 rushing yards on only 41 carries. Oh by the way, he’s now the team’s main RB go to guy in the Rushing Attack, when not starting at Strong Safety on Defense. Dionte stands 6-0 tall, weighs 195 pounds, and what I liked most, even more than the stats, is his ability to come up and pop whoever has the ball as a DB. This kid is a big time hitter, and has great size to make a great DB in college. In the last few weeks McDuffy has qualified academically and made a 17 ACT and carries a 3.0 GPA.
California in Berkley has called, and they have started recruiting him, as have Arkansas, but no offer yet to this date. Remember this kids name. His switch to RB late in the season might be the edge the team needs to win State again in 2A football in 2010. McDuffy runs a true legit 4.41 forty-yard dash.
