| Jonathan Tyson |
I know a bunch of colleges in Louisiana that don’t have one player weighing 240 pounds playing LB that can run under a 4.8/40. Tyson will make a great MLB in college. He reads well, he moves well, and covers a lot of ground in a hurry. This kid also plays with high effort and is really strong in the weight room. He squats 455 pounds, benches 300, and cleans 315.
Jonathan Tyson had 70 tackles, 1 interception, and 4 sacks for the State Champion West Monroe High School State Champs in 2009. Jonathan carries a 3.0 GPA in the classroom. Tyson reminds me of another former LB from the Monroe area named Cardia Jackson who went to ULM of Monroe from local high school called Wossman, and finished his career with over 300 tackles at ULM and currently plays in the NFL. Cardia came out of high school weighing about 230. Tyson is a lot bigger and to me stronger than Cardia coming out of high school. They both run and hit the same and look the same in build.
Top college choices he gave me in person in order are LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech and Texas.
