WR/DB Stephen Prescott

July 2, 2010 - There’s a sleeper WR outside of Baton Rouge in Watson, Louisiana by the name of Stephen Prescott, who stands 6-1 and weighs 180 pounds.  Stephen is one of those kids who stands 6-1, but looks 6-2 in person because he’s so long and wide in build (arms and shoulders).  Stephen’s dad, David, is a former head coach of Tara High School, and now a principal at Central High School, where he last coached.

You can tell he’s the son of a football coach because he shows leadership, and he looks the part as an Athlete for football.  I think this will be his year to show the colleges he’s the guy in the passing department as a WR at Live Oak High School.  Last year Live Oak relied on their WR to be Alex Switzer, who graduated, and now passes the torch to Prescott.  In 2009 Prescott caught 18 passes for 241 yards and 1 TD as the second WR in the offense.  Prescott is one of those kids that will be 6-2 and weigh in the 200 pound range in two years in college, running the forty in 4.6.

To show you what type of athlete this kid is, he can High Jump 6-0 feet, runs the 4x4 in track, and also   averaged 4 points a game with 9.0 rebounds in Basketball.  Stephen has a 3.0 in the classroom for a GPA.

His top college choices given to me in person recently are Louisiana Tech, Texas Tech, Troy, Southeastern and TCU.  I would say Louisiana Tech and Southeastern would be the realistic schools he would end up at in the end.
