Kris Albarado stands 6-0 tall and weighs 180 pounds. Kris has the best resume you can ask for as a punter. He also has a 59 yard punt to his resume in a game last year against Mansfield. I had a chance to talk to Kris this past week, and he told me ULM of Monroe and Northwestern of Illinois have offered Scholarships and very recently the Georgia Bulldogs and Texas A&M have come in the picture talking to him. His favorite school is the Florida Gators and if you look at the St. Louis jerseys they look like Gator jerseys. I asked him about LSU, who he likes, but they haven’t offered. Kris attended the Chris Sailer camp in Vegas, and finished 3rd overall for high school prospects. This camp also had some Junior College players sprinkled in. Chris Sailer is a former NFL kicker, who is considered one of the best in the country along with former NFL kicker Chris Boniol for scouting top young Kicker talent in the United States.
I asked Kris when he started punting and he said after the end of his 8th grade season at the age of 14. Kris should have several offers after this summer with college camps. Kris has a chance to be one of the top 3 punters or the best punter in the United States with a really good summer showing. It’s a no brainer that he’s a Div 1 recruit. He's a smart kid who has a powerful leg and can kick them deep.
