| Nick Williams |
Nicholas Williams had 32 losses behind the line his senior year, and he played the whole game for a 5A team that basically only had 30 players on the team, with twenty-two of them used for special teams, offense and defense. How many kids do you know that are almost 400 pounds be named District MVP of his 4A District 7-4A. If you talk to any coach in the district, they will tell you they ran away from this big boy, and he’s still got 64 tackles as a Nose Guard his Senior Year. This kid has been doing this since his sophomore year of High School. I saw Nick play in two games this year, and just shook my head at how gifted he is. I was amazed by how fast he can run for such a big guy and how much effort he puts out every play. I’ve seen this kid grab and bring down football players with one hand and tackle them while three offensive linemen are trying to block him out the way.

| Nick Williams with good friend Blake Hollingsworth, QB from University High School |
Here’s another amazing story. When Nick was only 13, he played AAU basketball with University High QB Blake Hollingsworth (6-2, 205) who’s headed probably to ULL Ragin Cajuns, Arkansas State, or Marshall, twins Will & Wes Briscoe, QB and WR from Central who are headed to McNeese State, University High RB Jamar Thomas (6-0, 185) who is headed to Tulane, and LB Orrin Fontenot (6-3, 230), from U High and Parkview Baptist who’s had many offers DI and IAA. All these kids played on the same Basketball team in AAU.
This past weekend Nick played in a High School All Star game in Austin, Texas, where he had 10 tackles and caused 2 fumbles. Ever heard of someone who is almost 400 pounds do this in an ALL Star game? Nick Williams also played in the Baton Rouge US ARMY Red Stick Bowl and had a pretty good game considering the field was very wet for the big guy to move around. A good friend of Nicks, QB Blake Hollingsworth (6-2, 205) of U High, and WR Armand Williams of Slidell HS, were teammates on the same team in the ALL Star game in Austin, Texas. Armand Williams scored two Touchdowns, and will be headed to Arkansas University for 2010.
I predict because of his heart, nimble feet, and strength, this kid will be an ALL American and maybe the # 1 Junior College football recruit in two years in the United States. The lucky coach that convinces Nick to play for him will be looked at as a genius in two years.
